"Finally!"

I think I have found the Promise Land.

I arrived yesterday at my new job in midtown at 3:30pm, still early (No one shows up till 4pm) so I waited in the reception area. After 10 minutes an Asian woman asked me if it was my first day and was I here for scanning and I said yes. Her name was MABEL and we started talking about the company.

Like most of the other places I've been, theirs is a 3 Shift Operation. People also work weekends, so they get 2 days off during the week.

I immediately asked how many machines and people they have for my shift, to see if there was an abundance of scanners like JPMORGANCHASE.

4pm came and a woman appeared and said "You can bring him in, MABEL" and we entered the back office...

Like I said during my interview last week, the hallways are lined with boxes and paper reams everywhere!

Once I entered the room, I sighed a sigh of relief.

The room was nice and open (No rubbing elbows like in CHASE!) with an outline of tables surrounding two long line of boxes in the middle. On the tables, side by side (with enough space) were 1 of 2 different types of scanners. They had the normal "Fast Feeding" Fujitsu I was used to using at IPS, and they had Photocopier-Like Flatbed Scanners that came in handy when scanning books.

The Supervisor (Who I finally met!) called out the names of everyone in the room (around 7 or 8 tops!) and assigned their duties. Some QC'd some scanned, me and another new person were to train with someone else to get the hang of things.

I was paired up with a young lady who reminded me of someone from HealthFirst. Her name was Dominique. She showed me how to use the Flatbed Machine and scan using IPRO Scan Premium software. The infamous IPRO, now I can finally add that to my experience...

Dominique filled me in on the rest of the way of things here...

They get an hour for lunch (Damn, how am I gonna kill all that time!) so we get paid for 35 hours a week instead of 40 (That sucks), if we do overtime, you don't get time and a half till your over 40 (Makes sense, but also sucks). If you do 500 hours with the temp agency they may or may not hire you on perm...

With everyone have 2 days off, it looks like I'll never stand out here. MABEL said she's been with the company for 2 years, so they'll always have work.

It's just like DeBari Associates in the Village way back when...

The dress code wasn't a big issue as I feared it would be, they seem to be very laid back about everything.

The thing they only seem to stress it image quality over quantity. People are scanning FOLDERS not even entire BOXES, just folders.

The Flatbed is not really the fastest of scanners either, it can only take small batches of documents as opposed to the other Fujitsu, drumming up hundreds of pages in seconds.

The whole 7 hour shift we scanned around 800 pages, although we DID have a few books that had to be scanned one page at a time, that slowed us down a bit.

But like I said, they don't seem to CARE about numbers, JUST images. Anything skewed or crooked, anything with a line, anything faded or too dark that something can't be read...is a SERIOUS ding.

I was always a speed demon, I figured if QC can catch and clean everything, what harm could it do?

Well, I guess I need to check that attitude and turn on my fine tuned EYE.

Tomorrow will be the real test, to see if I can fly solo (at last!) if they like my work, I think I just have found a place to get comfortable...at least till I see that first measly check!

"11th Hour"

Things felt dark today...

I needed to get back on a job.

I didn't hear from that law firm I had an interview with Tuesday and considering I didn't meet the original contact I pretty much wrote it off as a disaster.

I looked at a few more postings today and applied for an Enrollment position with GHI, found a Document Scanning firm that promises assignments (on posted in Brooklyn, thou!) that got a nibble from a recruiter who called and emailed me...

JUNE was a couple of days away I had to DO SOMETHING!

...then...

When All seem lost.

In the Darkest hour...

...The Phone rang.

at 4:45pm GoodTemps called me back and said I could start tomorrow...

*SIGH*

The 4-12 Midnight, Legal Document Scanning Firm!

Run by Teeny-Boppers and possibly requiring dress attire...

*SUCK IT UP, Pal...*

Ya gotta make this one last...

I report tomorrow 3:45pm for "TRAINING" (Sucking in a deep breath...)

Take it easy, brotha...

least it ain't pre-extraction...although you don't know, yet!

Working till Midnight will be like the Good 'Ol Days when I was workin' in The Village, I met some of the coolest people back then.

Maybe I can rekindle my Night Life Persona...

Swing down to the Blue Note on Friday nights and listen to Jazz till 4am.

Charm some 40-45 Cougar into becoming her boy-toy...

We'll See.

Damn, these people love to make ya WAIT don't they!?!?!?

"Things to Say when You're Stressed"

I found this list with StumbleUpon, I couldn't resist sharing...

Some of these should be used on "House"

"Okay, okay! I take it back. Unscrew you"

"You say I'm a bitch like it's a bad thing"

"Well this day was a total waste of make-up"

"Well aren't we a bloody ray of sunshine?"

"Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after."

"Do I look like a people person?"

"This isn't an office. It's hell with fluorescent lighting"

"I started out with nothing and still have most of it left"

"Therapy is expensive. Popping bubble wrap is cheap. You choose"

"Why don't you try practicing random acts of intelligence and senseless acts of self-control?"

"I'm not crazy. I've been in a very bad mood for 30 years."

"Sarcasm is just one more service I offer."

"Do they ever shut up on your planet?"

"I'm not your type. I'm not inflatable"

"Stress is when you wake up screaming and you realize you haven't gone to sleep yet"

"Back off!! You're standing in my aura."

"Don't worry. I forgot your name too."

"I work 45 hours a week to be this poor."

"Not all men are annoying. Some are dead."

"Wait...I'm trying to imagine you with a personality"

"Chaos, panic and disorder ... my work here is done."

"Ambivalent? Well yes and no."

"You look like shit. Is that the style now?"

"Earth is full. Go home."

"Aw, did I step on your poor little bitty ego?"

"I'm not tense, just terribly, terribly alert."

"A hard-on doesn't count as personal growth."

"You are depriving some village of an idiot."

"If assholes could fly, this place would be a freaking airport."

"Stumblin' Along pt. 2"

My God, I jus LOVE this "StumbleUpon" thing man!

Geez, the STUFF I have FOUND! My GOD, it numbs my very body and soul...

"Pirates of the Carribean:At World's End" JUST came out thursday and there's a website out there that lets you SEE it ONLINE on your browser!

There's even a blog that lets you watch Spider-Man 3...Already! (Although, I'm not sure it works anymore, it seem to take awhile to connect and load...)

There's this british site that has TV shows from past and present available for viewing!

Music Sites! Flash Games!

I got my niece addicted to this snowman making game, where you shoot the heads of snowmen and try to get them on their bodies!

I've been finding crazy pics that I intend to use for future humorous posts (ala Firestarter5).

I have yet come across the same site twice! There is SO much more out there!

I plan to update my LINKS section with some of the most useful ones I've found so far...

I hope ya'll enjoying your weekends people!

Be safe!

P.S. BitTorrent download or "Full Scale LP" up to 3.2%...Tick....TOCK!

"What are you doing?...No, What AAARRR You Doing?....What are YOU Doing?...No, What ARRRRR YOU doing?"

Okay,

Me and MOM saw "At World's End" this morning...

10:20am screening so there wouldn't be a crowd, and THERE was STILL...a massive scattered audience!

And the verdict...?

Ah, what the hell, it's up there with part 2...Up There with "Spider Man 3" (Not better, not worst...)

I tell ya, I've seen around 7 movies this year so far...and only "Smokin' Aces" I've seen TWICE in the theater and already have the DVD for. ("Smokin' Aces", "Ghost Rider", "Music & Lyrics" (KILL ME!), "Grindhouse" (Counts a 2), and "Spider Man 3", and now "Pirates" makes 7, yeah...).

With more Over-the-Top antics, confusing BackStabbings, insane subplots and gimmics, you just can't help to get sucked into the cartoonish chaos that is "Pirates".

The movie is an Epic 3 Hours long, but it goes kinds fast (Which "Spider-Man 3 didn't!) so you hardly notice.

Johnny Depp female fanatics will get more Johnny than they could imagine and get to see a lil more of Capt. Jack Sparrow as he loses his mind at his stay in oblivion (or Davey Jones Locker). They just decided to stretch the imagination like a rubber band in this caper.

Props go to Geoffrey Rush as "Hector" Barbossa (Opps, spoiled the surprise as we finally learn his first name!) too as he nearly steals the show with his massive ego forever claiming the Black Pearl to be his...

"I see no ship, I see The Pearl which is MY SHIP!"

...as well as other antics which I won't give away...

The Keith Richards Cameo also made the movie, and it just comes outta left field! You heard about it, but you don't think of it till you see him and the payoff is priceless.

Disney raised my eyebrows a bit with the sexual content this time around...

So, recap...Long, twisty story...hearbreak, humor, awesome effects, No Big, Giant Sawmill Wheel this time, BUT no REAL questions answered either...

If you're wondering...

If the Kraken actually ATE jack (or Crush the Black Pearl like Car Crusher)...
Or HOW Exactly Barbossa came back to life...(They address this, but not enough)
Or if everybody finds out what Elizabeth did to Jack and judge her...
Or the connection between Lord Cutler Beckett and Capt. Jack and the "P" mark...
Or WHY the Hell Will Proposes to Elizabeth when she was obviously wearing her wedding dress already in the beginning of Part 2

Then you're outta luck. My best guess is to not look into this logically and jus go with the flow...after all, It's JUST a Movie.

And if you're pretty smart, you'll stay pass the credits yet again for another scene (Like the last 2...), unless you're going to pee on yourself of course...

I'm off to look for the Fountain of Youth, now...

Drink up, ya mateys, Ya HO!

"Wanted:Burned or Original...Reward:10,000 Woolongs"

This is the album in Question that had me running around town yesterday (and Discovering Tower Records no longer exists...)

It's by an underground Hip Hop duo called Showbiz & AG (or AG and Showbiz, I dunno...), it's called "Full Scale EP"

I'm just looking for one song on there called "Q&A", it features the duo and and a couple of other MC's, each on starts the verse with the word: "Question"

It had a great beat, and the hook was simple and stayed in my head.

"All this is is choruses
Phat rhymes and beats with kicks like Norrises
We trying to get the money for the kids so peep how raw it is
How raw it is, how raw it is"

I had that hook in my head for at LEAST SEVEN YEARS...before MP3, even before Home Made CD's, back when I was making Custom Mix Tapes of my fav. tunes!

And after years of asking others, and reaching lyrics, artists, etc, etc...

I type a piece of that simple hook and hit the jackpot!

Amazon has the CD, but indirectly, through a local retail store and used copy someone's selling.

I have only found 1 Torrent for this CD online, and it doesn't have a lot of seeders.

I've started it on BitComent, but she's a slow as ketchup pouring outta the bottle...

I'm at 2% and waiting, with estimate completion time of 72:62:22 (HOURS:MINUTES:SECONDS)

Imma patient man, but in the meantime...I'll be looking for alternatives.

Damn, I was willing to pay 14.00 for this hard to find CD...maybe someone has it on ebay or something.

"Aw Man, The Doobie Brothers broke up!, When the hell did that happen?...Sheeiit"

I mentioned Lyricspy.com helping find this old Rap Song I had in my head for around 8 years, I really wanted to buy it rather than download, support the industry a lil for the underground non-mainstream artists.

I go on these Indiana Jones-like searches every so often. There a so many music stores in the city, only a few you can depend on to find obscure, forgotten music.

In my hey-day, the solution was simple...Tower Records in Lincoln Center, and if you were desperate, the last hope would be the other Tower Records in the Village.

However, one was lost...Lincoln Center closed sometime last year so I had to depend upon, The Virgin Megastore in Times Square.

Heading down to midtown jus to buy a CD may sound crazy to some, but what the hell, anything to get outta the house, right?

I took the 1 train and emerged in the heart of an over-crowded tourist attraction. There were sailors among the sidewalks for "Fleet Week".

I made my way inside and looked in the Hip Hop section for the album in question...

No dice.

Something told me this wasn't going to be a walk in the park, but a journey all thought the Lower East Side...

The streets were getting to me, so I cut across 44th street to 6th Avenue and thought of checking the FYE near Radio City.

I went in, nothing...strike 2, and then left the store.

It was time to head over to East 8th Street and check with the last Tower Records in the city, it was my only hope.

I took the D train from 48th Street to West 4th and walked across Washington Square Park and past the NYU Campus. Once on Broadway, I started heading down past all the weird-name streets (Heh, they have a BOND Street, cool...) as I slowly approached, I couldn't believe my eyes...

The second Tower Records store, a Village Landmark, known for Madonna's Very First in-store appearance in 2003...was also gone.

Damn, one I could see, but both?!...SHIT!

Okay, true, they were still charging 19.00 for a newly released CD that you could get for 12-14 dollars at Best Buy or even Barnes and Noble, but Tower was a resource...even Vinyl was still sold there for DJ's.

Damn, they musta went outta business, such a shame.

It's like going over to paris and not finding the Eiffel Tower...

I had to find this damn CD!

I decided to walk further south towards Houston Street to a new Best Buy that's been down there for almost 2 years.

I was grasping at straws, now...still came up empty.

"Damn, maybe I better try downloading it..." I thought.

I retraced back north when I thought of Union Square...and the OTHER Virgin Megastore!

This was it, I was calling a day if it wasn't here...

...and it wasn't.

So the trip wasn't a total loss, I browsed around and few a few CD's of some other stuff I heard from those radio sites.

I was defeated, but this wasn't the end.

I'd find that album, somehow...someway...

...someday!

"I'm sorry, I couldn't resist."

There are so many sites out there I'm discovering, it's friggin AMANZING!

I always wanted to post "5 Years" so you could see why it's my favorite Bjork song.

It was rumored to be about her failed relationship with that musician/actor Tricky (The black guy with the british accent in the movie "The Fifth Element" that worked for Gary Oldman?) who knew they were an item? What do I know, she can sing...

The lyrics, promising her ex-lover that he'll regret the break up in the long run is Sweet Revenge in my ears, but this song just moves you the minute you hear the Break-beats...it almost makes you wanna stomp! The clincher thou, is like the last 2 minutes...the fiddle solo (Fiddle or is it a Violin?), I have never heard an instrument scale up and down so fast, it's just awesome and hypnotic.

I chose this player from this site because it has a Play button, that way it doesn't automatically JUMP in when the page is loaded, you have a choice, I think it's better that way.

I am just STUMBLIN' thru the net like CRAZY! Finding so many resourceful websites! There's this one called Video Jug which has SO many "How To" videos like YouTube! "How to be the Perfect Boyfriend", "How to be the Perfect Girlfriend", "How to Moonwalk", "How to change a Tire"...

I am on an Information Overload, here!

"Here, take a Stumble!"

Say you're surfing the web...

You read your favorite blogs, check a few websites for news, yadda, yadda...
Then you're done...and you're bored...

You can hit the ol' "Next Blog" button for awhile playing some "Russian Bloggette"

OR you can have some fun using what I just discovered!

StumbleUpon is a cool way to jump around the web at random, based on what your interests are.

With this add-on I have found over a dozen cool sites that I would never have thought of looking for!

I've found streaming internet radio sites better than "Live365.com", some funny sites, informative sites, cool flash games and movies...

This thing is awesome, you jus hit the "Stumble" button and if your like it, you give it a thumbs UP and more sites like it will come your way...

Check out the cool sites I've found so far...

Musicovery Is an interactive webRadio that plays music based on your Mood! Whether:Dark, Postive, Energetic or Calm, you pick it it plays...

Toorgle is a Torrent Search engine of all Torrents, but since it's made by google, it's vast and unspecific, still...didn't know it existed.

"Icon War" Is a funny flash short movie showing what goes on at a Desktop when you're not around.

This Video Is a proposed TV Commercial for the X-Box 360 that got banned, thou it's kinda funny. I wish I could it post it here...

Finetune Is another webRadio site that lets you make your own station of songs AND post it on your blog. I'd do it, but sometimes blogs with music load slow and aggravates the hell outta people...

Pandora Is the Music Genome Project of streaming radio. You enter an artist you like and the music automatically comes up, along with other recommendations...as soon as you get comfortable thou, they force you to register if you wanna keep listening...which is why this NEXT site kicks ASS!!!

Bugmenot.com Say you wanna register for something at a website, but don't wanna deal with the spam that comes with membership...Bugmenot.com gives you a temporary email address that lasts for 24 hours then is history! HOW COOL IS THAT! Damn, I wish I thought of this when blogger got brought by google! The site also offers dummy email logins for any site out there! Just try it and see! This was one of the coolest finds I "Stumbled" upon today!

Ishkur's Guide to Electric Music is an interactive flash site that explains the history and difference to all modern music that's non-country or polka. HOUSE, TRANCE, TECHNO, BREAKBEAT, JUNGLE, HARDCORE, and DOWNTEMPO...it's all broken down like science! East Coast, West Coast, Dirty South, New Jack Swing, Freestyle, Nu Soul...it's all there, Disco, Synth, Goth, EVERYTHING damnit...it's weird how it's all connected.

Lyricsfly.com just helped me find a song I've had in my head for over 7 years! It's database is like nothing I've ever seen!

and finally...

This Page last the list and rules of every playing card game in history. Solitare, I-Declare-War, Pinochle, Crazy 8's, it's all there...

Most of these sites are basic, amateur-made, kept on a college server, never listed in any search engines, which makes them cool to find.

Anyone have any time to kill and REALLY wanna surf, I recommend given StumbleUpon a try, you won't be disappointed.

Check it out for yourself, Here.

"What...the hell...was THAT?!?!?"

I repeat...WHat...the hell?

Was that the season finale that ya'll saw out there?

Jack looking like Jared Leto in "Prefontaine" or Luke Wilson in "The Royal Tennenbaums" running around in the future after getting off the island, mourning some mysterious person, doping up like House and ranting to go BACK to the island like Locke!?!?!?!?

That's what we're left with for EIGHT MONTHS!?!?!?! (January 2008)

of all the ways to end...

That's ALMOST as aggravating as a flying man taking his exploding brother to the stratosphere where they can go BOOM together sacrificing themselves to save everyone else!*

But THAT's another show altogether...

It has NOT been a good week for Finales!!!!

I wonder how "24" ended this season...Did JACK BAUER make HIS "Sacrifice" they were foreshadowing from day 1? Is JACK BAUER DEAD!?!?!?...Geez!

I'll say this, thou...LOST's was MUCH more stress releasing than HEROES...

The two chicks that were smacking around Charlie..DEAD...YAY
Jack FINALLY beating SHIT outta BEN (Fuck YEAH!...I cheered with every punch!)
HURLEY using the van to save the day and his taunt to The Others on the Walkie...AWESOME!

BUT the clincher for BEST scene in a Season Finale, was SAWYER shooting TOM...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!...saying it was "For taking the Kid" was the cherry on top!

Damn, I wasn't that happy since Jack Bauer killed Dennis Hopper's character on the Season 1's "24" Finale!

These people ARE finally growing SOME BALLS!

I wish Rousseau and Alex's reunion was better...first time in 16 years you see your daughter?...C'mon lady...where's the tears?

THE only other thing that's gnawing at me like a freaking mutt chomping a bone is...

What if...BEN is actually right?

Hell with that, BEN IS actually right...and those people out there are NOT who they really are...

Instead of Future-Jack meeting with Future-Kate at the airport, the episode SHOULD have ended with a rescue copter coming...and some mysterious stranger says

"We only want Claire and the Baby..." Shades of Season 1

That's what Desmond saw, right?...ONLY Claire and Aaron getting on a chopper...no one else.

Something about that...will have me thinking for awhile.

*Sigh* It was sad to see poor Charlie go...him making the sign of the cross was really heart wrenching...

Merry, Merry, Merry...we'll miss you you lil hobbit, you...

Ah well, at least he still gets "Kate" in real life...I hear they're still dating...Lucky Bastard.

Well, that's that for LOST...I'm still pissed Eko's gone and we didn't any answers for Season 3, but now that show's a bit Humbled (No more million dollar Special FX budget now! Just 16 Episodes...starting in January for season 4), it can only mean more will be revealed ASAP.

In 3 seasons, they've been on the island for 90 days...maybe the next 3 will go the same way, with the survivors spending 6 months in limbo before returning to civilization.

At least THEY get back...which means they're not already dead, in purgatory or illusions in somebody's head.

I guess THAT was a bit re-assuring...the show needed that.

I'm just wondering WHO was it that died that sent Jack over the edge?

Dum, Dum, DUMMMM!!!

After the CSI finale, I'll be done with TV for the summer, unless a cool series pops up or comes back (WHERE THE HELL is "THE Boondocks"!?!?!?), then maybe I can start going out and trying to meet some people somewhere...

PEACE!

*P.S. as for the swipe at the HEROES finale...Yes, I know the Nathan and Peter are coming back in Season 2, I know they're not dead, don't go nuts on me for saying that...and geez...Hiro stuck in 17th Century Japan, What the Hell?!?!?

"The scariest words in the English Language: "Left Testicular Mass""

After yesterday's wild adventure, I was in no mood to see a doctor about ANYthing!

I'm starting to regret going to the doctor to get checked out in the first place, especially considering it was all for nothing due to that BI...

No, let me not go there...

My appointment was for 11:45am at the hospital on Fort Washington Avenue and 168th, across the street from The Battery and NY Road Runner's Indoor Track. I've never been to my neighborhood hospitals, the Jewsish community in Washington Heights keeps the place nice for the rich people (aka non black), hell, even Bill Clinton had his Bypass a few blocks nearby.

I make my way to radiology on the 3rd floor and got acquainted with that familiar scent called "Old People Smell". I submitted my paperwork and gave my insurance card (Thank god nothing went wrong!) then got one of those wristbands with my name attached to my arm. I was given directions to the waiting room, where several others were sitting in a line of seats.

It was around 11:15 when I arrived, I had no ideal if they were gonna make me wait so I brought my PSP with me. I played some variations of Sudoku games (Magic Sudoku, GO! Sudoku, Carol Vorderman's Sudoku...) and a IQ Game called "Mind Quiz" (Who says Video Game rot your Brain!?!?) and I was finally called...

Once again, I had a female doctor who asked if I was uncomfortable...I said no and was given a SMALL hospital gown to put on.

I'm not going in specifics, but the procedure took an HOUR, and was VERY, VERY difficult to endure! They couldn't get a good look, something was going wrong, I dunno...she had some learning assistant with her to oversee the whole thing and I heard her point out everything...

"There are the testis, the sperm goes from there to the urethra..."

I was SOOOOO embarrassed, I just wanted them to put me under. They needed me to breath and push(?) so "they" could move...or they were moving too much...OH! It was a nightmare.

Afterwards, they said I could put my clothes on and they'll send their report to my doctor...It almost sounded like they didn't know WHAT to do about my situation...I wanted to asked, but I just threw my clothes on and got the hell outta there!

As I finally walked out of the hospital, I tore off that damn wristband, looked over my left shoulder and whispered the name "Constantine", and went on my merry way...
(Don't know if ya'll gonna get that joke, but I couldn't resist...)

I walked back home since it was nice, I stopped by J. Hood Wright Park on Fort Washington, wandered around, sat in the sun...

I hope this job comes thru, I'm drawing blanks and I'm not hearing anything from any of the other things I thew my resume at.

Mom said I could try unemployment in June, but I'm sure to have some problems since I quit BEFORE getting laid off...

Memorial Day's around the corner, nothing will be biting till that Tuesday after...

"Ahhhhh, Here we Go..."

Did my job interview today. Got there nice and early only to find out my original contact was OUT that afternoon...

I had a premonition that would happen, too...for some strange reason.

I feel, if you have an interview appointment and you can't make it, you should reschedule. Don't have a subordinate do the interview or someone else non-related to the damn position the person's going for...it's so unprofessional!

So, I'm there (Decked out suit in 70 degree weather!!!) and they decided to call my contact's SISTER who happens to be the 2nd shift manager/supervisor (whatever?!)...talk about a Family business.

Anyhoo...the place I was applying for is called Datum Legal (Which kinda makes me think it sounds like "Dat 'um Legal"...like some ghetto slang like..."Dat' um Legal Shit, knawmeen?"

You walk in, all you see is Boxes along Boxes of documents...EVERYWHERE! lining the walls, in the hallways, even covering the damn windows!

"Well, at least there won't be any shortage of work.." I thought.

This immediately took me back to one of my first Scanning Gigs, working for a legal firm in the Village called DeBari Associates. They had the entire floor of a Loft and there was nothing but Scanners, Printers and computers everywhere, along with boxes of documents and thousands of reams of paper in all different colors, like a Kinkos or something. A ream (400-500 pages of blank paper wrapped) would look like a key of cocaine so people would be joking around and yelling "Give me 25 Keys of Green!" Or "I need 10 Keys of White, stat!", "Go get some Keys, these printers are running low..."

It's white-collar Office supply humor, you gotta be there to appreciate it.

Back to the present...the new place felt familiar, I come face to face with my potential supervisor and she turns out to be a teeny-bopper extra from the damn "Chicken Noodle Soup" video. She couldn't be older than 20!

Now, I have no problem with have female supervisors, they usually be cool because they not afraid imma take their job like a paranoid, player-hatin' brother just waiting to stab in the leg to make sure you stay where you at...BUT when it comes to someone MUCH younger...I can't HELP to think back to my library days when I got heat for temporarily replacing my supervisor after she was injured in a car accident.

The clerks and pages took ahwile to give me my props, but I eventually earned their respect at the tender age of 21 (only to be fired later...).

Back to the interview (Damn I did a lot of reminiscing here didn't I?)...

We didn't talk much, jus a formal introduction and then she gave me some sorta Interview Questionnaire to fill out and left me alone in the room for 5 minutes. This was sorta a nice twist, I never get to put the words together to get my point across in a verbal interview, with a written one, I can think and write a presentable answer.

The young lady came back with another woman who was the Day-Shift supervisor and she did the rest of the interview. She asked me about my last job, I didn't even MENTION Chase, jus said that the Bank of New York let me go a month ago due to the merger. I then showed off my Production Totals from previous IPS assignments (The UN, Detsuche Bank in Miami, etc, etc...) letting them I handle 7 to 8000 documents a shift, yadda, yadda, yadda...

They then explained the job, 4pm-Midnight, weekends, 5 days a week (Meaning if I work Saturday AND Sunday, I get two days off DURING the week, which is cool...), and they'll take a day to make a decision (probably pass everything on to the person I was SUPPOSED to talk to!) and I should hear from them by hopefully friday...we'll see.

The whole ordeal took no more than 15 minutes. After all the worrying all damn day!

Well, it's been my experience that the shortest interviews usually lead to me getting the job...

I took the scenic way home on the uptown bus, not realizing it was going on rush hour and the damn school kids would be on their way home. I had this one hyper ass brat sitting next to me that kept kicking the shit outta me and wouldn't sit still!

I didn't get home till 6 (Maybe it was TOO scenic...) and when I did I plopped right on my bed (once I took off my damn suit!).

I finally had an insane IM chat with Irene in which I was able some of the feelings I feel for her while she seem a bit over the edge (maybe I'll post the chat later...)

TOMORROW is Judgment Day, I'm going to get this sonogram thingy for the family jewels to see what's going on there...

I am SO freaking out, you can't imagine!

PEACE!

Okay, we're heading into the final sprint of this "Ask Jet" segment. I've enjoyed answering all these questions every monday, it's a pity I won't have any more week after next...ah well.

Our next contestant would probably be the very latest addition of the FEW regulator readers out there. Though been here only a short time, I still say "welcome aboard, SUMMER...I hope you enjoy my tales of despair and dark humor for years to come.

Now then on with your questions...

Are you an only child?

No, I have a sister and step-brother.

Who is baby girl?

Ha-ha, "Baby Girl" is the nickname I've given my niece, I took the idea from "The Bernie Mac Show" to call her that.

Where did you meet LeeLoo?

*sigh* I know you had good intentions when you asked this...

I had met her thru a kinky webcam personals site called Fling My original intent with the site (as it was posted on my profile at the time) was to be boytoy on the side to any starving, lonely lady in distress (ala "Desperate Housewives"), making visits during the day when I was back working nights for Bank of New York. Thou the concept didn't work, my profile got the attention of a certain someone and we started talking...since then, I decided NOT to go back to the website, BUT curiosity got the best of me a few days ago, and I checked back to notice her profile still out there (New pictures and ALL!), she working on the "Next Victim", but that's okay...You live and learn.

What's your favorite food?

French Fries, without a doubt.

Do you cook?

I know my way around the kitchen, I'm usually too scared to eat what someone else has prepared for me so I usually cook or let the fast food industry hook me up. I only know how to cook a few things thou...Spaghetti, Jello, Popcorn, Scrambled Eggs, Pancakes...I'm more of a "Make Breakfast in Bed" type than the "Romantic Dinner" fellow.

How tall are you?

I joke and say I'm 5'11...but I'm really only 5'10.

Was that really your butt in the picture?

Yes it was, *SMILE*....pray you never find out in real life, lovely lady *Wink*

What do you do for a living?

Geez, what DON'T I do? I am a Computer Operator slash Document Scanner to be...I do good Data Entry work, but find it unchallengeable and boring. There was a time when I was a Facilitated Enroller for several Health Insurance firms, but that field of work turned out to be too stressful for me to bear.

Have you always lived in NY?

Yes, thou at one point for four months I lived upstate in Albany.

Do you like to dance?

Um, no.

What's your favorite color?

Green and Blue...for money and my mood at times.

And aren't you sorry you asked?

Not at all!, I wished you asked more!

So, that's it...KimmyK will be next for the last installment of "ASK Jet"...

C-ya!!!

"The Truth...and the Puke."

Well in the irony of ironies...The Parks department has once again called my sister for seasonal work. She has to report to Randall's Island today so she dropped off Baby-Girl friday night.

I finally told mom about quitting Chase and she took it okay...

I think it had something to do with her just seeing "Brokenback Mountain" when I told her. She pretty much didn't care what I did since she seemed so down by it. I could of told her I killed somebody and she would have shrugged it off.

She called it the Saddest Movie she ever saw. God, she once said that about "Imitation of Life".

Good thing I rented it from the library...

As she was looking at the movie last night Psycho-Sys kept calling saying she was on her way over, but she was taking Baby-Girl to see the Universal Soul Circus in Orchard Beach...

We knew they would be coming in late, then....WAY late!

MOM gave up waiting by 11pm, and I had jus turned off the lights in the living room around midnight when they came. Miss Inconsiderate dropped off the lil munchkin and took off like an airplane.

Waking up this morning for the first time and not going to work felt GREAT. I saw my cartoons again, things couldn't go wrong...

Till I heard this Gut-Retching sound.

I don't WHAT that child ate at the circus, but IT DID NOT Agree with her!

The sound of her throwing up, make me almost wanna throw up, too!

Mom tried pepto and ginger ale to settle her stomach...NOTHING!

One time she stopped at my door...

"Uncle Leslie?" she asked.

"Yes, baby girl?"

"I've thown up SIX times..."

Jeez!

"Nana said if I throw up TEN times we're going to the hospital..."

Damn, maybe I should have went back to opening envelopes...

Nah, the A train is screwed up this weekend so it was destiny...as sit at home with nowhere to go, I take solitude in my room with my movies...

I looked at the first 30 minutes of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and instantly saw myself in Jim Carrey's character, and turned it off for a while to watch "House" and "Bingo" last night.

The weather has been playing head games...it looks like it might rain, but then it doesn't...and it got cool again.

Well, that about rounds up things here...I've been trying to line up more more things jobwise other than tuesday's thing. Wednesday's the sonogram appointment, I dunno if should go or not, I think my Blue Cross might still be on till the end of the month...

We'll see.

"Duuuuuude...."

I've been laid back so far with my anticipation of the upcoming "TRANSFORMERS" movie, some might call it the "Pearl Harbor" of 2007 (considering Michael Bay directing and all...) BUT after seeing The Latest Trailer...

I'm starting to get the teeynest excited!

They're finally starting to show some action scenes, and it looks AWESOME!

And finally seeing Optimus Prime transform from truck to robot...hearing that familar sound effect...(That almost gets drowned out by Shia LeBouf's goofy line about Optimus coming from Japan...ugh!)

We see the Decepticon Jets in action, along with Scorponok in the desert...

There's even a chilling scene reminiscent of the cover of "G.I. Joe vs. Transformers #1" below when the army shoots at poor "Bumblebee"...

I just wanna hear them talk, now...I have to know that Optimus is gonna sound like Optimus...

I heard they got Hugo Weaving for Megatron, which could work...and Keith David as another Decepticon.

With a 4th of July opening...it COULD be THE one.

I just hope it doesn't let us down.

"Dear Lord Man, Why are you slapping that monkey?"

When I first hit the internet, I read my fav. blogs in a certain order...

1)Firestarter5
2)I have no name for this
3)Shelli Bells
4)Bitchfest Nyc
5)I know what I want
6)I Fell off a Cliff today...
7)Irene's Menagerie

Those are my Starting 7, in that order, even in my Bookmarks...usually because one has a link to the next one...Fire has a link to KimmyK, Kimmy has a link to Shelli, Shelly has a link to that other Kimmyk, Then I jump around on my own after that...

I always find myself lingering after Irene's...and it just hit me...

I'm like Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt in "A night a the museum"...admiring Sacajawea from afar without having the guts to say anything to her...

She's behind the glass in her own world, unable to hear my call...so lonely and distraught.

Any other time we'd chat via AIM...but she's never on, she does IM's thru though her Hiptop (Whatever the hell THAT is...)

*deep sigh*

I'd give anything jus for five minutes of her time...just to cheer her up, and give some encouragement.

Maybe I should write her an email or something...

"Dear Mama..."

Today I snuck a note in my MOM's purse that said...

"I'm Proud of You."

It was her first day going back to work after her vacation.

It may have been sappy what I did, but the thing is,I haven't quite told mom that I quit Chase, yet.

When she came back tuesday afternoon and found me home, I told her that I took the day off in protest of the policy change of them making me Pre-Extract. She just shrugged it off and said "You coulda helped me come home, then!".

That night we looked at "Little Miss Sunshine" and then "House".

Wednesday, MOM went to see Baby Girl in a school play while I did my registration thing and had a brush with death-by-Math Problem. When I came back, I went to the library and borrowed 2 DVD's for mom, "Up Close and Personal" and "Brokenback Mountain", one is her favorite cuz of that damn Celine Dion song, and the other she's been curious to see (But I sure as hell ain't!).

I've been buttering up on her good side because I know she's gonna freak when I tell her I'm not goin' back to CHASE.

She's gonna be like, "I hate my job, I don't quit!" and "You can't just be jumping around Job to Job..." that whole song and dance...

So I gotta break it down to her soon, and it's better that I soften the blow...

I went to the cleaners and then went over the GWB to Fort Lee, New Jersey to go food shopping at A&P. I brought 2 Five Pound bags of French Fries, 2 Double Packs of the Big Jif Peanut butter, 2 Digorno Microwave Pizzas, some Kool-Aid packets that they RARELY have in stock (14, 10 Lemonade, 10 Grape, 4 Tropical Punch), and finally as yet another gesture, I brought mom a box of those damn Jimmy Dean Egg, Cheese & Sausage croissants she goes nuts for.

I came home and stuffed the freezer, then went back out to Blockbuster and FINALLY got a copy of "Smokin' Aces" along with "God of War 2" for PS2.

I then came home, peeled off my clothes and took a shower.

MOM came home at 6:15, her first day back at the job was fine, she was missed and she doesn't hate her co-workers anymore (for now...).

She told me the note was silly and questioned my sanity and told me not to sneak in her purse anymore...figures.

We looked at "CSI" and that "Lost:The Answers" special. I told MOM one of the producers, Carlton Cuse, used to produce "Nash Bridges" back in the day...

She went on to bed afterwards and I burned a copy of "Smokin' Aces". The damn DVD was scratched so I had to exclude the Special Features from my copy! But no Biggie.

I gonna haveta tell her sooner or later, and no amount of nice deeds are gonna stop the shit-storm from coming!

"My Greatest Hits..."

Man, how deep was LOST last night?

I was so sure my man Charlie was gonna do a Kurt Russell in "Poseidon" and not make it inside that underwater hatch. But when he did and he was celebrating I KNEW someone was gonna come out and scare the shit outta his ass!

Oy...the 2 hour finale next week, just might be off the hook!

After the episode I started to think about Charlie's List...of his greatest memories.

I wonder if I could put together such a list so far...

It seemed to be a nice project to think about.

Facing the end, looking back and wondering what the highlights were...

Is it me or was that scene of him stopping that mugger and being called a "Hero" taking a swipe at the TV show "Heroes"?

Be like, "Hey, we got some heroes here on our show, too...and they don't need any special powers, nah, nahy-nah, NAH!"...hmmmm, that look suspect ABC...don't hate!

It was nice to see Rose and Bernard again...I hope they don't kill Barnard now...make him go out shooting against the others.

STILL the rumors are flying everywhere....they said four people might die next week.

Charlie's one, for sure.
I think Sun might die jus like all the other prego women on the island did.
Desmond may also go, the trailer shows him saving Charlie in the hatch.

It's a toss up who'll the last one may be.

There was also one small rumor that the creators of the show wanted to bring Michael back for one scene (A flashback?, rescue?, news report maybe?) to explain the fate of him and Walt, but the actor was busy working on a movie or something...

Whatever happens, we know the end is near...48 episode in the next 3 years then it's all over, how will it end?

They also said they don't plan to reveal what the Black Smoke monster is till the VERY LAST episode...what the hell is THAT all about?

"Reading, Writing, A Duhhhhhh..."

I went to register at this temp agency this morning. My appointment was for 10, I was there by 9:30, and the place was packed!

"Shit," I thought, "Another Whale Hunt..."

I stayed thinking positive, thou and did the paperwork...

I kept hearing the secretary handle calls, all the counselors were at a meeting, there was no one to talk to at the moment as we waited. After the paperwork and a 10 minute wait I got called into the computer lab for testing. I rolled my eyes as they set me up for a Numeric 10-Key test, a typing test, and software tests for Word & Excel.

I scored 8414 on the 10-Key, and typed 41 Words per Minute, which I guess is not bad. Aced the Word and did Well on Excel (I have trouble with WORD Mail Merges and Making Graphs in Excel).

I waited for almost an hour before "The Meeting" finally concluded and people started pouring out and calling names...almost a half hour AFTER THAT, I was finally called.

After a few questions, "Mark" picked up the phone and asked about a scanning job with the Department of Corrections, but it was just filled, then he mentioned a position located one floor down in the very building we were in.

It was Scanning Legal documents for a firm, it's temp-to-perm, started at 10 bucks an hour and with occasional weekends, the hours were...from 4pm to Midnight.

My eyes lit up like Christmas Lights!

I had to take, yet another test and then be interviewed, he asked me to stay close to my phone cuz they could call me back downtown the same day depending on my test score.

So after come copies of my ID's and a few more forms to sign, he gives me the test and then says I can leave after I finish. I go back to the waiting area and sit down...

Since I would be dealing with lawyers or legal stuff, they wanted to know if I knew how to file, alphabetize and knew my words.

So one part was like "Pick the word that fills the blank"

1. He played the music ______ loud.

and the choices were ( ) too & ( ) two

Child's Play...some were tricky thou...

Then a Filing Test...

1. Tina

Goes under "Ab-Da", "Gi-Ja", "Ta-Tj", "Tk-To", etc...

No problem there ("Ta-Tj" BTW...)

Then a list of Names, Titles, City, and Grade

The questions would then be like "Put an X next the all the "SUPERVISORS" from NEW YORK, VERMONT or CALIFORNIA, that have a grade over 70%...

That took some thinking, but still no problem...

Then, I hit the wall...

They threw in a MATH test.

I kid you not, when I saw all those math problems I got SHOOK!

We depend SO much on calculators these days, I almost forgot how to do simple math!

Especially shit with DECIMALS!

what's 297.35 times 12.58?

What's 109286.27 divided by 8.25?

What's 30% of 89?

A watch is on sale for 49.99 with the New York 8.25 state tax how much was the watch?

8367 times 52?

Whats 111234 divided by 230?

Even Simple Addition and Subtraction problems scared me!

I just lost it for a good 20 minutes, then it somehow started coming back to me.

As I worked on the test, more and more people kept coming in and waiting, these people took their time to speak with you!

I was finally finished by 2:30pm, I submitted the test and headed back home.

I was afraid they would call me while taking the bus ride back up, but thank goodness, they didn't.

Around 3:45, after I came home, it started to get REAL Dark...

A storm hit the city. Strong winds and hard rain came down. I waited a bit for it calm down for a bit and then ran out to return some DVD's the library and get some more.

at 4:45, my cell phone rang.

I passed the test! They wanted to see me for an interview! I told them I lived far up in manhattan, and it would take a hour and a half to get back down there so the scheduled a interview next tuesday. If they like me, I could start that Wednesday...

Too COOL!!!

Gosh, I was so scared by that Math Section...

I gotta brush up on my arithmetic!

It could have been worst, thou...

It could have been Fractions!

I hope this goes thru, man...those hours sound great!

Peace!

"Stew in my Juices"

Reading Blogs has been a bit of a minefield here...Oh, who am I kidding, there's only ONE blog I'm reading that has me wanting to take a baseball bat to my own car like Eddie Griffin in "Foolish" (Thou, I don't own a car, but you get the point...), one blog that can literately have me pulling out my hair, and that's Irene's

I don't even know if she reads mine, I'm probably miles, light years away from her mind, but I still can't get her outta my head.

And it really tears me up inside when I read these post about her "Dates from Hell"...

But who am I to bitch?, right?

I'm just the guy that worships the floor she walks on, give my life for without hesitation, would get up and travel crosstown in the middle of the night if she saw a spider and needed to kill it.

Whadda I gotta do get her attention?

It jus kills me.

"What's making it and what didn't...a look at the Fall Lineup 2007"

Well, it's may, and along with sweeps, the next best TV event is finding out what shows are coming back...and which ones are gettin' the AX!

Today, NBC and ABC announced their plans which include a few shows I ACTUALLY might be looking forward too...

ABC, or "Anti-Black People-Channel" is benching LOST and putting in Dr. Addison-Sheppard (I know they got the divorce official by now, but I love saying her name like that...) with her LA clinic and crew in "Private Practice". For those who didn't see the intro 2-parter episode, The redhead from Seattle Grace will be joined by Tim Daly (I was in "Wings", remember and I was the voice if Superman!), Taye "Did ANYONE see my show "Daybreak"? Diggs, and Amy "I must have a thing for robes" Brenneman.

With a lineup like that even MOM's curious, so long as Taye doesn't end up with a asian chick (Mom is such a hater...)

Look for it to be Butting Heads with American Idol on Wednesday's at 9pm.

I hear it, and when I see it, I probably STILL won't believe it, but the Geico Caveman will be adjusting to life in the modern day living in Atlanta (of all cities!) in a half hour comedy simply called "Cavemen", Tuesdays at 8pm

This'll either soar like an eagle or drop like a boulder after one episode.

The only other juicy nugget is on Friday night, "Woman's Murder Club" is based on the James Patterson "Numbers" novels about a group of ladies in San Francisco (A reporter, A cop, A District Attorney and a Medical Examiner) that solve serial crimes.

I never read any of them, but Patterson & Serial Killers are like Peanut Butter & Jelly. With "Law & Order" leaving fridays, this should be fair game for elderly crime-show nuts with no lives.

Casualties of the ABC AX include George Lopez, "Knights of Prosperity" (Aw, I kinda liked that show..."Let's ROB Mick Jagger!"), "In case of Emergency", "The Nine" and my beloved "Six Degrees".

At least "Notes from the Underbelly" is coming back, that show was funny.

The rest of the favorites will be back, "Boston Legal", "Grey's Anatomy" (Still going against CSI!!!), "Dancing with the Stars", yadda, yadda, yadda...

OVER at NBC (or No-Blacks-Channel)

The CSI's can claim victory yet again as "Law & Order:Criminal Intent" moves to the USA network for one last season of new episodes, While the Original (and still the Best) moves to Sundays after the Football season. Joining "Law" on Suicide Sundays will be "Medium" which I guess is okay, I finally get something to look at now, aside from The Simpsons.

Over in the "NO DUH!" section, "Heroes" will be coming back! With a Six-Episode Prequel-like Spin-off Mini Series called "Heroes:Origins" in midseason...talk about DOUBLE the DOSE!, Ya-ta!

The only NEW show NBC's working on that interests me is actually a remake from the 70's. Get that ticking Bionic Sound Effect ready because the "Bionic Woman" is back! Can the Six-Million Dollar man be far behind?

Those football jockeys can breathe a sigh of relief as "Friday Night Lights" got saved from the AX, but apparently, "Wedding Crashers", "Crossing Jordan" & my beloved "Studio 60" are history.

Who only knows what CBS, FOX and The CW are planning, their line-ups are due later on this week.

Mom came back from Jacksonville today, and I sorta told her I took today off in protest of what they were doing to me.

Hopefully, this scanning position will come thru tomorrow and I won't have to tell mom the truth...

keep it cool, people!!

"Ask Jet Q&A...The Answers...Round 2...ac"

Okay, keeping with the Monday tradition, it's time to do the answers for out next contestant of "Ask Jet Black anything..."

We have a few questions from the lovely "ac" who has grown to love the Jetmeister recently...

So, here we go!

Do you like movies or music better? Ooooh, that's a tough one!, I love them both equally. If you count all my VHS Tapes and DVD's against my Cassettes and CD's, I'm pretty sure I'll have huge but equal amount of each.

Given a chance to meet one blogging friend, who would it be? And why? I thought about this one a lot, I would love to just do a tour and everyone who stops by (Luckily, that wouldn't be a long trip!), if there was one, thou it would have to be the one closet to me out there in Ohio...KimmyK. She's been here from day 1 (or maybe Day 12, no one probably read the VERY first entry here...) and I've gotten to know her family and her way of life for 2, going on 3 years now. I even know what she sounds like and would LOVE to be her tour guide if she ever comes to New York one day.

Seriously, thou...I wanna meet everyone, if only they'd have a convention of sorts somewhere and I knew everyone who reads here was goin, I would try to meet them.

I remember you saying you open your windows sometimes on very cold days. (I do that too.) What floor do you live on? Do you sleep with them open? I sleep with most of them open (2 out of the four), I usually open a top and a bottom, the bottom I usually have to put a screen on the bottom, because the cat tries to go out on the balcony. We are Seven flights up, which mean some can still look in and watch me walking around naked in the living room.

You made the comment that someone, (Leeloo?) had found the *other* blog. What did you mean by that? By *other*, did you mean this one? When Blogger sold out to Google and forced everyone to sign over, I started a backup blog with VOX, it's still there, but I really haven't updated it. Most the early post have been copied over and the newer ones can be transfered over with no problem.

Are you as nice as you seem?Hmmmm...Maybe.

Okay, that was great...next monday it'll be Summer's set of questions, and KimmyK's on Memorial Day.

I just got a nibble on a scanner position by a temp agency, I'm going to register first thing Wednesday, wish me luck!

"What are you going to do, now, Austin?"

Working for Chase was like dating a girl with big tits who wouldn't give head.

Starts off well, but sooner or later, you're gonna get pissed off.

In the end, I took it like a trooper and went out gracefully, just once, thou, I would LOVE to have a "Jerry McGuire-like meltdown...either that or shoot up the place in blaze of glory.

Let me not joke about that, with Virgina Tech still in our heads.

But since we on that subject, considering it happened during my time-out in April, I really didn't vent my opinion on that.

Maybe one day, I'll address it.

Anyhoo...I'm on the search for spock, again and things can only get better.

I've refreshed my profiles on Monster and Hotjobs, sent out a few emails answering some ads from craigslist, and I plan to revisit from temp agencies I went to earlier this year to rejuvenate my quest.

Didn't talk to MOM yet, she figured I'd be in too late to talk and should be on her way back home starting tomorrow (or today, who knows, I think she'll be back by monday afternoon.)

I wanna start writing again.

It's been ages since I've worked on my TV script (probably because I'm getting NO input on it *Hint* Hint!) and I have so many ideas for short stories that I would like to jus, "Throw against the Wall and see what Sticks". I wanna start a blog named after A Textbook we had in Elementary school. Maybe have one story a month with chapters every week like a Stephen King Serial Novel.

I dunno.

I wanna also expand my software know-how...

Knowing Excel and Word is not enough anymore...For Scanning it's IPRO this, and Doculex-That...And as for Databases, a lil Dab of Access was easy to bluff my way through, but now I need more...and I wanna learn C and UNIX.

While I'm at it, I'll learn to speak Mandarin and Cantonese...

Seriously, having this new PC with all its wonders I have to step up my game and make it worth it. I need serious work, stable work, comfortable work, not just something to keep the time by.

I did a lot tonight to get the phone ringing tomorrow I hope...I gotta get a suit too for interviews because the Andy Sipowitz look of Short Sleeves and a Tie ain't workin'

I think the worst thing is now that I'm gone from Chase my Health Insurance is out the window again. I had scheduled a sonogram to check out this "3rd Nut" thing for the 23rd, now I may not go.

It's like the more I worry about it, the more it's making itself noticed...I feel it often, sometimes when I sit at an angle it feels funny for jus a sec till things get positioned down there...

Women, ya'll don't know how lucky you are, while we walking around with these two hard-broiled eggs in a brown paper bag...the amount of sensitivity and PRESSURE! It's enough to make a grown man weep!

Happy Mother's Day out there, you know who ya are...

Labels:

"The greatest trick The Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he Did not Exist"

*sigh*

Mom said they'd be days like this...

It's just not working out at work.

I wanna scan, I'm in the room, and and I'm not scanning. Now I'm outta the room, pre-extracting mail and making batches.

The scanning room has become full with people with nothing to do.

They have 2 scanners, 2 people looking for Pass Two Checks, 2 encoders, a Mailroom Sorter, a Truncater, and at least 3 wrappers, along with 2 people looking up rejects.

Between the Night Shift lingering and Day Shift arriving there's at least 12 people in there at once!

But it's only on Monday and Tuesday it's that full because some of the Day Shift are Weekend Shift (like me)...From what I hear, Wednesday thru Thursday, there's only 5 people in the room and they get swamped with the work.

The Weekend, it's little better, the most in the room at a time is probably 8.

The last few weekends, thou...I haven't even been IN the scanning room! I've been pulled to help Pre-Extract Mail.

Pre-Extracting mail is basically letter opening and sorting checks...PAPER PUSHING! Which is NOT my favorite thing to do!

I couldn't take it today, so I raised up...

Apparently, it was the decision of The Powers That Be that I would be cross-trained for an indefinite amount of time. Learn the operation from the ground up, walk in their shoes, sorta speak. So I can identify with the process at hand and give my fellow co-workers the respect they deserve and admire they duties.

Heh, Heh...I don't THINK so.

Just because you go to a new school, you don't learn the damn Alphabet, again.

I know this shit is done, I've seen it with my own TWO eyes! If they don't have anything for me to do, if there are too many cooks in the gaddamn kitchen, then SOMEBODY's gotta go!

and with that, I came to a decision.

I QUIT!

Tomorrow, May 13th, Mother's Day, 2007, Thirty Three days or 4 weeks and 5 days after starting, will be my last day Pre-Extracting for JPMorganChase.

Stupid amount of Money or no, it is NOT worth my dignity. I WILL find something better, on MY terms, back in the city, Night Shift, Day Shift, whatever, I will survive.

It'll be great to have my weekends back. See my Saturday Morning Cartoons.

I'm just wondering...

How the hell am I gonna tell MOM?

"Plunder and Lightning"

Well, Mom got down to Jacksonville safely.

When it comes to train travel, I always think of that movie, "Unbreakable". Speaking of M. Night...I saw "Lady in the Water" on DVD yesterday, that movie was friggin' crazy!

I do believe now that Shaylaman be on "That Stuff".

I also finally saw the Grandfather of London Gangster Films, "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels", it was AWESOME! Now I know why Guy Richie gets to bang Maddona whenever he wants to.

There were rumors Tom Cruise wanted to Americanize the film way back when...wonder what happened to that idea.

Meanwhile, I've been Level 10 "Morpheous" Type search (You know, looking for "The ONE"!) on craigslist for some "GIT-ER-DONE" action (I'm sorry, that idiot Larry the Cable Guy has been everywhere promotion that looney movie he's in...I'm using his metaphors for sex.)

I've had a few tugs on the reel, but they never follow up and get away...

Everyone wants to do the Nasty, but they're afraid to go out on a limb!

And if that wasn't bad enough, we got hit with some freak Thunderstorms in the middle of the night!

I was stirred up at 4am by a sonic boom of thunder!

So, here I am, friday morning...laying on my back with my "compass" point NORTH wondering what the freaking do.

Well, I could go back to men's clinic for a possible feel up and schedule that sonogram of the jewels for that foreign object.

I could also finally go Sneaker Shopping for a fresh new pair of kicks.

I could go to Blockbuster and rent "Monster's Ball" for some release action...

I could head downtown and see the movie "Hot Fuzz" for a good laugh since I'm in the "British" Mood...

I can't believe I gotta go to work tomorrow already...

Once again the weather's not cooperating...it's hazy and cloudy like a summer day in august! At least it's not as hot.

*sigh*

Lemme jus go see the Doctor and see where the day takes me...

"Okay, he's the Situation...My Parents went away for a Week's Vacation..."

Well, I may not have a Porsche to drive around, but I was planning to have some mischief soon!

Yes folks, Macaulay Culkin is HOME ALONE!!!!

I walked mom down to Penn Station today at 1pm, saw her off to board her train to Jacksonville, Florida at 3pm. It always spooks me to see her leave, not knowing if it'll be the last time I see her (I always scare myself like that...)

Outside, I swung by Borders and brought the LAST copy of VOLTA that was on the shelf (Lucky me!) and headed home.

After updating the new PC and checking some website, I updated my blog and looked at LOST...

I can't believe LOCKE is gone, man...

He was the reason I really got into the show. This episode was a bit slow with Ben's flashbacks, but it had a HELL of a payoff near the end.

It's still not on the Level of what's building up on "Heroes", AND there are rumors that the show will be done in the next 2 seasons...

After LOST I stayed up browsing craigslist for a possible booty connection...

I need to find a few more webcam chat sites out there.

"Five Questions you answer when you go to Heaven..."

There have been some cool quizzes out there these days or even mini-interviews as one would call it...I found a nice set of unique questions and I thought I'd give 'em a try...

1. If it came down to these three, which would you be willing to lose: Your sight, Your hearing, Your ability to walk. You must choose one.

I dunno, I've always joked about wanting the ability to be "Deaf at Will"...just snap my fingers and then I'd sign, "Sorry, I can't Hear You" with my hands. I also look at TV with Closed Captions, to prepare myself if I one day become deaf. It's the only one I can see myself living with. If I was blind, or couldn't walk, I'd be SUCH an invalid and a burden, I wouldn't live with myself depending on someone else to take care of me.

2. If you could start your life over again tomorrow, with your memory intact, would you?

Yes. Isn't there a musical number about that on "Snoopy:The Musical" or "You're a good man, Charlie Brown"?...

Just think of it gee,
How great it would be,
If I could go back somehow
And have my life to live over
Knowing what I know now

Quantum Leap, Back to the Future, hell even LOST shows us the benefit of Second Chances...

3. You're given $1 million and told you must spend it in one day and none of it on yourself. What do you do?

Donate money to every single library branch in Manhattan, they all could use the help.

4. Elvis Presley, Angelina Jolie, and The Devil are standing in front of you. Which one would you spend the day with?

I would like to chill with Elvis and share some peanut butter sandwiches with him, but I would probably pick the Devil. I wanna hear his side of things, and see if he was somehow responsible for tempting the sunovabitch who caused the accident to spike the drinks that night. To see if he would have done things different if he had the power. On my TV show, my character has a bit of a association with The Devil, sorta sympathy. There would be sight gags to portray this in every episode similar to "Seinfeld" and Superman.

5. Some say there are over 100 billion stars in the galaxy. Do you believe we are the only life forms among them?

I dunno, maybe. We probably won't see any proof in our lifetime, but sooner or later SOMEthing out there is gonna be discovered...

"Finally! Ask Jet Q&A...The Answers...FIRE5"

Hi Ho, people...Yeah, I'm still here...hit a few snags with the new PC and DVD Burning. But nothing I couldn't handle!

It's embarrassing really. When you install Windows, they always bug you to ACTIVATE it within 30 days. But when you install DVD X COPY, you have fool the system by turning your clock back to November 11th, 2003. So, without activating...and going back and installing DVD X COPY...I locked myself out when I restarted the system!

It's like walking outside without yer damn keys...

SO, Daniel-san had to do ova again...

It's a good thing no other programs were already on...(Always do the hardest and most important programs FIRST when restocking a PC!)

UNfortunately, now when I start up, there are TWO lines for Windows XP and it asks you which one you wanna start, the second its completely wiped out, but it doesn't know it...meh, no biggie...I can get used to it. (Or down the line, figure a way to fix it...)

So, once I activated windows and installed DVD X COPY successfully I did a test burn of "A Night at the Museum" (Which is VERY funny! I recommend it for everybody!).

It did it pretty fast...instead of 3 or 4 hours it took almost 85 minutes to copy (an hour and a half, roughly).

Satisfied, I concentrated next on using my card reader and transferring music on SD cards for my Player. Turns out, the Panasonic Jukebox software can't acknowledge internal card readers, jus the USB one that came with my player...SUX, but nothing I can do, there...The Card Reader can come in handy when transferring Photos and PSP data using the PRO STICK DUO bridge, so that's cool.

Heh, I'm jus realizing, anyone reading this probably has NO CLUE what I'm babbling on about...I might as well be writing in hebrew, here...I guess I jus wanna vent.

ONE more curve hit me when I tried burning a Home-made DVD of "Heroes" episodes I've been downloading...

It seems that the NERO Suite software that came with my USB Sony DVD Burner can only burn DVD's using THAT SONY burner and no other (Mainly the Acer's), so to make my custom DVD's I had to get around that and find a program that lets you create DVD's.

After a few failed attempts, I decided to stay with NERO, but move up a version and use a new serial code that I swiped from someone else who posted on TorrentSpy.

And now, I can say as I type this (9:30, Wednesday, May 9th...) I have completed a VERY fast burn of my custom made DVD of "Heroes" episodes 17-20!...AWESOME!

I think I'm gonna LOVE this new PC *SMILE*

NOW THEN!...On with the show!

Our first inquisitor was the Wild Canuck from the north...FIRESTARTER5.

I had no idea what "Google Earth" was, but after taking a peek...I was very impressed!

Leave it to a paranoid, American-loathing, Left or Right-Wing Extremist for find an Eye in the Sky! This is something out of "Enemy of the State!"

So this is what he does when he not looking at porn?...Hey, we all have our hobbies...

After experimenting myself and knowing not to give you an exact location about my stomping grounds, I decided to give you a rough estimate to enter...

"wadsworth avenue, new york, ny, 10033"

This will give a good shot of my neighborhood. You'll the Bus Terminal that leads to the George Washington Bridge, the highways that go underneath, everything...It's VERY detailed and the 3D effects are fascinating. I might keep it on my PC.

As for the second...

When it comes to being fear and being scared...there are some degrees that I feel I STILL haven't reached yet...

I've stared DEATH in the face...seen the mangled corpse of a girl I once loved after a horrific ordeal, I have suffered serious injuries due to moments of violence. I've been shot at from a distance due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time, I have also been stabbed with an Ice Pick due to mistaken identity, I've been mugged once and I've had the distinct displeasure of being engulfed by flames...

But fear, paralyzing, numbing, breathtaking fear is something...I just haven't experienced yet.

I only have a crazy memory of something my Grandfather did that had me shocked-sacred, for HIS life, not mine...

One summer afternoon, we (Mom, Psycho-Sis, and Me) were all cooling out on our terrace. Now, we share the terrace with our Next Apartment neighbor...there's a wall that divides it, with a thin railing on the outer edge.

So, the 3 of us are there, and we're nowhere near the telephone and far away from the front door.

Well, Granddaddy must have forgot his keys so he took it upon himself to go next door to our neighbor's apartment, go on THEIR side of the terrace and climb on the railing and Tightrope Walk his way to our side!

Imagine our faces when we see a 60+ year old man walking on TOP of the Terrace Railing...appearing outta NO-where and we're at least 5 stories up high, once slip and he would have fell and died!

We're screaming and yelling and then he jumps down and yells at us for not hearing him banging on the door!

He always had a practical solution to any problem...

"Oh yeah, I'll jus walk on the ledge and climb down on my side..."

I must have been 12 years old then, but to see him walking like he was walking on air...scared the hell outta me.

I know it doesn't have much to do with New York, which proves that the city is not really THAT scary type of place...

Okay, that's that...

NEXT UP...ac!

Peace!

"No Itchy & Scratchy Money Accepted Here..."

First off, I jus heard a stream of the Bjork Concert 2 blocks away from me at the United Palace. The set list was a lil different that Radio City.

She played "Hunter", "Bachlorette", AND "Hyperballad" which means I'm angry and glad I didn't go.

This time, she wore face paint to go with her colorful dress...how do I know? Because there were pictures taken and posted on Flickr, Here.

She looks part Native American, and part Ultimate Warrior (The Wrestler).

I know I've been going on and on about bjork for weeks now, I promise to get it out of my system...by Memorial Day.

Annnnnyhoooooo...Before my spider-man 3 adventure, I was telling ya'll about adjusting to Microsoft Vista. I did that post around 10pm thursday...

at 5am Friday morning...I wiped my hard drive and put Windows XP on.

Yes, people...It's THAT BAD!

It looks nice, there a few improved things folder wise (No more "MY Documents", jus "Documents" and yadda, yadda, yadda...), but there are compatibility issues. There was no avaiable driver for my webcam, the latest Internet Explorer has limits (I couldn't see LOST on abc.com!...I had missed the episode cuz of the concert...), it's just BAD...BAD, BAD, BAD!

It's like Disney Dollars...fake currency that looks nice, but not taken seriously.

There's a Simpsons Episode that makes fun, when Homer gets 1100 dollars in "Itchy & Scratchy Money" at Itchy & Scratchy Land...once he enters he finds out none of the stores take the "FUN" currency...

Luckly, Acer didn't put that many programs on their PC for me to lose (Jus anti-virus software...not even a DVD Player program or anything!).

And Before the "downgrade" I made an emergency disk that'll bring everything back to factory installed normal, so No Biggie.

With XP on, I have a very big canvas in which to paint my masterpiece...

I'm gonna need the right brushes...

Firefox will be first, then my DVD X COPY, again (Geez.).

Then, Office XP (I wonder how Office'07 is...), then someone of my Nero stuff and MP3 ripping software, then BitComet to get the last 3 Heroes episodes...

THEN, I gotta transfer stuff from "Teletran 8" (eMachines) and wipe that clean for MOM and Baby Girl...I have some questionable items I don't need to be found on there.

MOM's heading off to Jacksonville Wednesday for a week...I'll have the whole place to myself as well as 3 days off from work...

"Pinky, are YOU pondering what I'M pondering?" (Although, I would HARDLY call HIM "pinky" *wink*).

Okay, enough of the dirty talk, let's get back to business at hand, sorta speak...There I Go, again...

It's been one helluava week...Bjork, the Computer, Spider-Man...

Work was okay, too...still feel like the 7th Finger thou...and part of me wants to start hunting for maybe something else, just in case.

We'll see how Sunday holds up.

Peace!

P.S. the MUCH awaited answers of the "Ask Jet" segment with start monday, I promise.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

"My Spider Sense is Tingling...If you know I mean!"

Yes, it pays to have a job that gives you fridays off!

I've waited 16 months for this freakin' movie to come out, you KNOW I was gonna see it first day out!

And no Sold Out theaters, truant rugrats or imbecile teacher taking a whole class was going to ruin this expirence!

I caught the 11:30am screening, with a sparse crowd of young and old...a few stupid punks and nasal geezer who breathed thru his nose too loud.

First, I wanna say...as far as Superhero Movies goes...this was awesome! A great story showing the ups and downs of Spider-Man and his relationship with Mary-Jane Watson...In the first one Peter wanted the girl, in Part 2, he got the Girl...in this one, things get rocky (Hey, they all can't be storybook romances!).

Now, with that said...this movie was WAY too LONG!!! It was trying TOO hard to be a Trilogy ending Epic. Simular to "The Matrix Revolutions"...They crammed 2 movies full of villaians and story plots into 1 movie. Everyone expected Harry Osborn to confront Peter about the whole "He killed my father" thing, but I guess they figured THAT and only the Sandman wouldn't have been enough so they threw in the Alien Costume for the "Over the top" effect.

Speaking of the Sandman (A name he is never given in the movie!) He was the first Spidey Villian I ACTUALLY felt sorry for as they explained his sobb story and origin. He wasn't some crazy scientist that willingly underwent a scientific accident...to quote him he's "...not a bad person, he's just made some bad choices."

Some of his powers and abilities felt like they were ripped off from the "The Mummy", BUT they got better and menacing towards the end.

I don't wanna reveal much more, but two more things...

1) Stan Lee's cameo was bit corny this time...maybe if he didn't have a line, it would have been better, finally being Side by Side his creation in a scene.

2a) The Subplot of Harry losing his memory after his first skirmish with Peter was WAY to Soap Opera to swallow!

2b) Where the hell did Harry's elderly caretaker come from?!?!? When I came home after the movie (and after going to the BATHROOM!!!) I skimmed over Parts 1 and 2 he is NOWhere to be found!

Look for cameos by Paris Hilton and yes, Billy Campbell again.

Great Movie...a bit over-hyped and overexposed my all the "Sneak Peaks" will probably shatter Box Office records again, but the aftertaste won't linger more that 2 weeks.

Pirates of the Carribean 3 might be better, and Rise of the Silver Surfer is looking more and more intresting as well.

This should be it, Don't do a part 4, unless it's the one-arm Doctor Connors becoming The Lizard and somehow the REAL Hobgoblin (But that might be a stretch).

Don't Do Electro, Mystero, Shocker, Scorpion, and DON'T EVEN THINK of doing Carnage!

"Granddaddy would have been Proud..."

I remember when my grandfather brought our first computer home. I was probably 11 or 12...

I had wanted a Commodore 64 that I saw in a Toys R' Us sunday flyer, and mom said no.

A few weeks later, granddaddy was entering the apartment with some bags, and he called me to help him bring them in, then I saw the boxes and freaked out.

Mom hated that he spoiled us sometimes...but that's what Grandparents do!

We had that Apple 2C for as long as we could, but soon, Big Blue took over and the Mac overshadowed anything the Apple family could muster.

When grandaddy passed in '91, I learned about Computers in High School, Senor Year I learned QuickBasic and AutoCAD as I got accqainted with PC's.

Then in 1995, while working for the library, I discovered a lil known thing slowly developing called The Internet. Using the branches Dummy Terminals (Computers with no hard drive wired up in a simple network.) I hacked my way on the INTRANET using telnet servers of various college universities that would also provide website searches.

I taught myself to search the web for Video Game cheats, sound files, movie scripts and other mischief and soon became quite the web surfer/hacker.

Before my eventual termination for my antics, an eccentric elderly patron donated a simple PS/2 IBM computer to the branch in hopes to serve the public. The gift, as thoughtful as it was, went to waste as the desktop was too old to serve any use...so it was GIVEN to me.

I took it home and used to to the best of my abilities, I taught myself DOS learned Lotus 123 and WordPerfect on it, but I couldn't access the internet.

After I was fired, I somehow got my hands on my first TRUE PC, a Leading Edge D86, equipted with Windows 3.0. The leading edge was like my first bike while learining to ride. I became a wiz at Minesweeper, made pretend jounals on wordpad, used the Calendar program as a Day Planner and played LOTS of Computer Games like Prince of Persia, Zany Golf and Test Drive.

Still, I couldn't get on the internet at home.

I had to resort to going right back to where I used to work, the library. The utter humilataion of going from worker to patron...I walked blocks to a branch out of my neighborhood out of the shame of letting my former co-workers know I was canned, I signed up for half hour sessions (That went longer if no one else showed up...) and still surfed the web for Video Game cheats and other trivial stuff, ocassionaly trying to find the next job, too.

After temping for awhile, and picking up my life a bit, in 1997 I finally got a chance to expirence the internet at home...with WebTV. We had a second phone line installed, JUST for Dialup Internet access. I was in heaven. I discovered chatrooms and developed my first online persona, usagi_yojimbo, named after my favorite samurai bunny at the time. I made my first webpage and introduced my writings to the world for the first time in the form of music reviews. I was overwhelmed by the possibilities out there, meeting people, reciving offers to write profesionally as a jounalist and engaging in my first cyber-romance, but soon, it all got too much for me and I had to withdraw.

In 1999 while me and JOE were trying to conquer Wall Street, he suprised me with a charitable offering of his Compaq 1245 Laptop. With the decline of webtv, I was finally able to take computing to the next level finally joinning PC and the Internet together, I discovered music beyond my wildest dreams and started my journey into creative writing while reading online journals.

Then came my addition to eBay...

With all the drama of Family and my little niece growing up, the house became too crowded, and despite MOM kicking Psycho-Sis out to live on her own, she still baby-sat every weekend, so I had to move out on my own. In 2001, on the eve of 9/11, I had just won an eBay auction for an IBM Thinkpad. I foolishly instructed the seller to send it to my work address only to have my prize stuck in a UPS Office located in a restricted area due to the cleanup.

What I'm getting at is all the computers I had in the past we mostly Hand-Me-Downs or brought second-handedly and although I worked hard for AND with them...not since Granddaddy brought home that APPLE did I ever own a NEW computer fresh out of the box...

Until now.

I did a lot of research and found nothing wrong with a brand of PC's called ACER's

The Aspire 4000+, AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor (Although I usually prefer Intel's), 512 DDR2 Memory (I know that's not much, but it doubles the 256 I've working with and it's upgradable if can buy the memory down the line...), with a 9-in-1 Memory Card Reader, 7 USB ports! and 250GB Hard Drive (SHA-BOO-WEE!!!) and of course a DVD Burner Drive, speakers and yadda, yadda, yadda...

I brought it this morning from Best Buy...they had the 4200's with 1GB DDR2 Memory and some others, but they were a bit high (Might have been worth it, but I'm no Joe Millionare!), I show the sales rep a printout of the one I wanted and he made his way to a corner and pulled a box

"That wasn't the LAST one, was it?" I asked, he said no, they just don't display this model cuz the others are faster and more expensive. I pulled out my 3 c-notes (I almost consider finding some frisky company so I had the bills on stand-by) and paid the difference by debit (which wasn't much, jus a lil more and the tax) and carried that sucker outta the store!

After saying good-bye to the old eMachines PC that I got on Craigslist 3 years ago (It's going in the living room to replace that clunker generic PC mom got from her job that Baby Girl's been playing with...), I opened up the new one and jus marveled at her...

This is what KIRK thought when he first saw the Enterprise for the 1st time...

The sleek, well-tuned machine, that will treat you right if you treat it right...

Finally, I have achived the dream that my Granddaddy started for me. He would have loved this time and age...he was always ahead of it all.

All my PC's have shared the same desination...

The Apple was "Teletran 3"
The PS/2 was "Teletran 4"
The Leading Edge was "Teletran 5"
The WebTV Modem was "Teletran 6"
The Compaq 1245 was (and still is) "Teletran 7"
The eMachines is "Teletran 8"
and my PSP is "Teletran 9"

So, on this very day, May 3rd, 2007 at 4pm...

"TELETRAN X (or Ten)" became operational and online.

For those who don't know...Teletran is the computer used by the Autobots on "Transformers" (I'm such a geek, I know...)

God help me, thou...the baby came preinstalled with Vista and there's been so many complaints I've been hearing how it's not up to par (Driver issues, etc, etc...)

Imma see how things hold up before adding any serious programs...but for now, I am at the sea of contemporaneity. (That means, I'm Cool...)

"Radio City:Pics and Bjork Set List"

Forgive me if the pics look blurry, even though I was 10 rows back, I had a lot of people in front of me...they weren't tall, but they were in the way...

This was the sidewalk outside...chaos, thou passerby's where probably wondering "Who is this Bjork?!?!"

This is my best pic inside, clear, you can see everyone, it's as good as it gets. There's her backup "skittles" chorus from Iceland, They played French Horns, Trombone, and Trumpets, I think there were 10 or 12 of them...

SET LIST:

01. Earth Intruders
02. Venus as a Boy
03. Aurora
04. I See Who You Are - guest star Min Xiao-Fen on the Pipa
05. Oceania
06. Dull Flame of Desire - Duet with guest star Antony Hegarty (of Antony and the Johnsons)
07. All Is Full Of Love
08. Pleasure Is All Mine
09. Pagan Poetry
10. Jóga - Towards the end, a fan rushed the stage for a sec and got yolked by security...
11. Where Is The Line
12. Army of Me
13. Innocence
14. Wanderlust
15. Pluto

encore
16. Anchor Song
17. Declare Independence

This one's a lil closer, but a bit grainy, I'd call it my 2nd best picture of the night.

This was the last attempt, I dunno why I'm even posting this one...

So, that's it...

Best songs of the night were "All is Full of Love", "Oceania", "Wanderlust", "Dull Flame of Desire" (She rarely does Duets), and the very last one, "Declare Independence" (which could have been politically motivated...had every one screaming "Declare Independence...DON'T LET THEM DO THAT TO YOU!!!!")

And like I said, I'm SO glad she DIDN'T do "Hyperballad", I dunno, you can't love all the songs...but that one is so DAMN popular! It's like being a Michael Jackson fan and hating the song "Man in the Mirror"...ya' know? It's such a crowd favorite, IT turns the whole concert into a freaking nightclub rave!

The next concert is Saturday, a few blocks from where I live at the United Palace Theater. I jus heard it's gonna be streamed live on the web at www.NPR.org/music Courtesy of WNYC, the New York Public Radio station...cool!

Imma check Craigslist's Missed Connections to see if anyone maybe noticed me alone or something...

Now then, On to the next adventure!

"Yay."

After getting a much needed haircut by my barber Jalu, I changed and left the house at 7pm to head downtown.

Radio City was crazy, the side walk to the regular entrance was packed with fans lingering around waiting for their other friends to arrive and stuff...

The banner up top said the show was SOLD OUT, so it was gonna be a full house!

I took a quick picture, then made my way to the Ticket Holder's Line at the back entrance.

I was lucky enough to be waved through the security check point without being frisked, probably because I was alone. I always wondered what would happen if they caught someone with a camera? It's a concert, you know they wanna take pictures!

I made my way to the seating area and took my seat. This time I was MUCH closer (I musta read that chart wrong!) I was 10 rows away on the right side (Her Right, my Left) of the stage, how cool was that!!

I'm gonna get into TOO many details of the group of people that were around my area in the audience...A loopy teeny-bopper with Pink dyed hair sat to my left, she too came alone but made friends with a pair of girls that flew in from somewhere to finish up the row, my right...a couple of nit-wits who probably got tickets from some corporate account where HE worked at and jus brought his girl along to try and impress her. Neither of them obviously knew who Bjork was, they were too busy working each other over and then left at the beginning of the encore (They came at the VERY last possible minute, too...), I had some dickhead kicking my chair behind me a few times, but that stopped in the middle of the show.

And the show, lets get on with it...

An opening act of African Drum percussion and break-beats started a 45 minute set at 8pm. They were alright, if you're into that wild jungle music...

A lil after 9, the lights went down and "Earth Intruders" started playing causing every one to rise outta their seats! The Brass Horns backup chorus that appeared on the SNL episode appeared first, still wearing the glowing colorful outfits (Taste the Rainbow!), THEN sporting a simple, red-orange, "Riding Hood"-like dress, the tiny 41 year old pixie pranced barefoot on stage.

I get the entire Set List from bjork.com tomorrow, but the concert had highlights of new songs from the upcoming album, with a sprinkle of classics. Some were received light while others damn near brought the house down!

She sang a nice rendition of "Venus as a boy" accapella and nearly moved me to tears with "All if Full of Love". They had a nice laser display for songs like "Where is the Line" and my latest favorite "Wanderlust", but there were SOME songs that really hyped up the audience too much...The Club Bangers like "Army of Me" and "Joga"...

Some dumbass fool actually jumped on the stage in the middle of "Joga", and danced across before getting tackled and carried away effortlessly and quickly by security without the song missing a beat.

She then capped off the show with "Pluto" and after a long wait came out and did two final songs.

A member of the audience screamed "Hyperballad!" at one point after, I cringed in horror, but thankfully she never performed the song.

Also missing was "Bachlorette" and my "5 Years", but I'm not sore...it was still a great show. I'll have memories of it for years to come.
