"Whoo-Hoo!!! 71.9 Million!"

The fans have spoken! Simpsons Rake in The D'oh!

Okay, maybe that was a bit corny, but wow! Close to 72 Mil in 3 days with minimal media blitz attention (unless you count all those 7-11's changing to Quik-e-Mart's...we don't have any here in the city...but there is a rumor there's one on the far side of 42nd and 9th Avenue...Hmmmm....)

I'm glad it kicked ass, it deserves all the attention and themsome...

I even checked out how'd I look as a Simpson character courtesy of http://simpsonizeme.com/ Pretty cool, eh?

It requires a good picture and some patience (I had to go thru 3 separate pics before they got me right!)

In other news, critics are calling Lindsey Lohan's "I know who killed me" the worst movie in cinematic history...REALLY?

THAT BAD?

Worst than Ishtar? Leonard Part 6?, Town and Country?

Dude.

"Funniest animated movie in my LIFE!...So FAR!"

Yep, Definately had to see "The Simpsons Movie" this weekend...

Even if it tired me out for work today.

BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!

This movie is so funny, words can't express...

20 years in the making, loyal fans will love it, and for the haters who have abandoned the show, maybe this will win them back.

The story is pure Simpson Zany Gold, and there's even an heartwarming message that gets expressed.

I think the best part of the show's Move-to-Film is that they broke the barrier provided by Network TV Censorship! We finally get to see Homer and the Gang, HARDCORE! (Well for PG-13 standards!)

And it's GREAT!

Without giving away TOO much, the movie has THREE history-making moments for all time...

1)The rumors were true...You actually see Bart's Ding-a-Ling...Unbelievable!

2)As Homer escapes an angry mob, he gives them a double One-Finger Salute!

3)And finally, the best of them all, Marge, known for famous Baby-Talk phrases like "Fudgie-Munchkins!" and "Ow, My Tooshie!" or "Move your Keister, Mee-ster" actually says "G*ddamn!"

Fox takes a few pot-shots at Disney too, good for them, this movie probably blows away "Shrek the Third", "Ratatouie" or "Meet the Robinsons", which by the way despite the original 2-D look, the Animation still seemed impressive.

I hope the movie cleans house this weekend at the box office, it has some stiff competition with the Lindsey Lohan thriller and the Catherine Zeta-Jones Romance flick.

Saw some cool trailers for the future starting with that DAMN "Alvin and The Chipmunks" movie! Others included "The Bee Movie", "Horton Hears a Who" (They're going a bit too far with these Dr. Seuss movie now...) and "The Nanny Diaries" with Alicia Keys in a supportive role (That girl's been busy! 2 movies in one year!?)

anyhoo, it's 3am and I'm VERY, VERY tired and still got one more day of work to go...

Toodles!

And remember, "If you shake more than twice, you're playing with it!"

Not the epiphany I was looking for either, but VERY funny when you think about it!

It's a 90 minute laugh-fest...Better than ANY other animated TV Show brought to the Big Screen...(Beavis and Butt-Head, South Park, That Lame-ass Family Guy DVD movie)

The theater was crowded and applauded when the credits rolled.

Stay for extra scenes during the credits!

I might see it one more time on my day off tuesday!

"Oh my DEAR GOD in HEAVEN!!!!"

"The HORROR!!!!...THE HORROR!!!!!!!"

No FREAKING WAY are they BASTARDIZING the most wholesome childlike and innocent cartoon of ALL AGES!!!...NOOOOOOOOO!

THIS DAMN CGI/REAL-LIFE MISHMASH has gone TOO FAR!!!!

Some may blame GARFIELD for this, but I'm going back FURTHER...

THIS IS SCOOBY DOO'S FAULT!!!!!!!

And I thought UNDERDOG was gonna be THE worst, OH, the agony...

Alvin, Simon, Theo....SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!!

LOOK AT THIS POSTER MAN!!!!

Look what they've DONE to my CHILDHOOD!!!!!

"Baby won't you be My Summer Rain..."

KimmyK, -being the paranoid protective parent she is- is goin' through the motions as her son embarks on that wonderful discovery of the opposite sex.

*sigh*...Summer Romances are the best...

It's the Agony of Autumn Heartbreaks that suck.

Which reminds me of the last time I truly was IN LOVE.

...and how it was consummated on this very day, oh SO long ago...

After months of chatting on WebTV during the winter before, and then finally meeting for the first time and the VERY romantic Father's Day Dave Brubeck concert at Carnegie Hall we had been enjoying each other's company for a lil over a month.

Thing were going good, and we were ready to take the next step in our relationship only there was one bump on the road.

She had been insistent on meeting Mom and the fam...

I didn't wanna go there, I kept our relationship a secret, much like my others before her. This was going to be the FIRST girlfriend I was introducing to MOM...it wasnt gonna be easy...

We bickered about it more and more, but I wasn't budging.

Then, on a botched movie date to see "Inspector Gadget" (Yes, the live action Disney movie...) I finally gave in.

We took the train to the heights, I phoned the house ahead of time to let mom know I was finally bring over some company...Unfortunately Psycho-sis ALSO had some company, that asshole boyfriend/father to Baby Girl (who WAS a baby at the time...).

The 3 of us (Mom, Sis and Baby) were all under 1 roof at the time with Sis "Living" in the Living Room and me with my private room (as well as mom, of course).

So, we come in and make proper introductions, Mom puts on the nice face while Sis and the Asshole share snide remarks about us with each other, then we move to my room for some privacy.

19 years of being the innocent, firstborn son brought me some street cred and the trust of a mother not to do any Hanky-Panky in the room while the ENTIRE family's in the house...

...But being the opportunist that I am...

I showed her the music equipment I had at the time. Two Turntables, a Mixer and other components along with my CD Burner. After thumbing through my records collection, I let her make a mix CD. Hours went by, the afternoon turned to evening. Every one else in the house ate dinner but we weren't hungry, Mom got into a movie and eventually nodded off around 9pm after checking with us in my room one last time.

Our walls are thick so SIS usually pumped her loud music in the Living Room and it never bothered MOM, we decided to do the same for my room...

Listening to a CD Loop of "Fortunate" by Maxwell (A song I've grown to DESPISE now...) and watching "Motown Live" on TV, I sat behind her at the corner edge of my bed. Our fingers interlocked on one hand, I slowly started massaging her thigh with the other.

She started to hum at the attention...

Then I leaned close to her and kissed the small of her back...

She gasped and "Oh" in surprise, then turned to look at me with THOSE EYES

THAT LOOK...

We kissed, long and hard as she lifted her blouse over her head, I had her bra off in moments.

We kissed again as I felt her breasts and massaged them.

The thought of making out while everyone in the house was exciting enough, I really had no intentions of going all the way that moment...

I started sucking on her nipples, even teething them a lil my personal mix of "Pleasure & Pain"...

After 10 minutes she said she wanted to take off the rest of her clothes...but she didn't want me to see...

I chuckled at the idea, put my back to her and double checked the door and waited a few moments, then turned around to see her laying back on my bed, naked and spread-eagled.

I took a moment to admire her body, then moved in between her legs...

I worked the nipples again, then ran my tongue down the middle to her belly button. She began to moan and I tilted my head up and shushed her asking not to be so loud (If that was possible...), she couldn't help it, she was open and I was enjoying every minute of it!

She started to get impatient as her thighs quivered with anticipation and that's when I knew, it was time to TASTE the nectar of the gods.

I let my tongue rim the outer lips then parted them like a flower...and went DEEP.

She showed her satisfaction not once, not twice but three times...

I knew not to bring my face up and kiss her, but I came close, and she whispered...

"Fuck me..."

I smiled as my chin dripped, chucked and said playfully...

"no."

After All..I was still fully clothed and still nervous as hell someone would knock on the door.

She then got this serious, yet insane look in her eyes...

"Stop PLAYING!...Fuck ME!!!!"

I chuckled again (I dunno why, but I always find sex funny for some bizarre reason...) the brought my face real close, she could probably smell her own...well you get the idea...then I whispered...

"Say Please..."

Having her at my mercy like this, I reveled in making her beg...(OOOh, I was so WICKED back then!)

She whimpered and replied, "Pleeeeeeze"

And I said "Okay".

I pulled my shirt over my head and kicked my pants off in seconds...

We went at it for TWO WHOLE HOURS...

Taking turns on top, biting, sucking, kissing...and TRYING to be as quiet as possible.

By 12:45am, we started coming back to reality...I don't think MOM would have approved of her spending the night and she probably knew her father was waiting for her over in Jersey City...

As we started to get dressed she got a lil tense because we didn't use a condom (Spur of the moment and all...) and she probably wasn't on the pill...

"Are you sure you Pulled Out in time, baby?" she asked.

and I said "Yes, BOTH times" with a wink of satisfaction.

She smiled a nervous smile fearing she seemed insensitive, I stayed cool and that's when she said.

"I...Love You."

It sounded so forced, like "Oops, gee I should have said that sooner or something..."

I pretended I didn't hear her and said "What?" with a chuckle...

She scoffed and looked coy, "Don't make ME say it, again!"

and we both laughed.

Then jumped at a knock on the door...

"It's getting pretty late..."

Fully clothed again, we each put on an innocent face and I opened the door...

"Um, jus doing a Music CD, mom...I'm gonna take her home, now..."

"Okay" MOM said, none the wiser...

We went through the living room and I could swear Psycho-Sis was reading us thru our body language and KNEW what REALLY went on...or maybe it was the guilt trip.

Once outside the building on our way to the train station, she called home and said she'd be there by around 2 or 3am depending on the PATH trains.

I went across to Jersey City and walked her all the way home and asked her...

"Well, you glad you met the family?"

She said "Yeah..." and added "I really DO love you, baby..."

"I know you do." I replied, but couldn't HELP feeling everytime she said it...ah, who cares...

That was pretty much the turning point of the relationship...

Everything changes after sex, for better or for worst.

We'd do it again two more times (Once even ON the PATH train!), then I even went as far as introducing her to JOE and what would be his Future Wife at the time.

We doubled dated with them and saw "The Sixth Sense", took a trip (Jus the 2 of us) to the beach out at Far Rockaway, yadda, yadda, yadda...

The Summer ended, then came the fall...

and I'm NOT gonna get into the messy details of the fallout.

Jus, look back on that day and remember...

"Music makes me High..."

Jus been taking a break and listening to music to calm my nerves.

Everytime I wanna do something special on my days off it friggin' RAINS.

Been chatting and discovering new website ideal for cams but more "Bait & Switch" tricks.

I'm not about to be a website-peddling BOT trying to score points off email referrals.

So, I retereat back to this new chat network called userplane which at first I thought tries to con you into paying outta the ass to start your OWN chat network, but it's not necessary, you signup, get a user name and browse others.

ANYhoo...

Here are the tunes I'm pumping (I gotta update that Left Pane..):

"Stronger" by Kanye West - Yeah, he took the Daft Punk sample, but this song is catchy and once again full of the Kanye ego I once loved and respected. When he's not tackling social issues ("Diamonds from Sierra Leone") or trippin over his relationships ("Gold Digger" or his other Latest with John Mayer, "Bittersweet") his "I'M THE BEST OUT THERE!" flow is way better than the Diddy's, Eminem's or Fifddy's out there...

"Beautiful Girls" by Sean Kingston - Everyone's probably thinking "Who is this AKON-sounding, chubby lil kid?, and Why is he sampling Ben E. King's "Stand by Me"?" Well, I dunno who he is either, but this songs getting close to giving competition to Rihanna's "Umbrella" for the summer hit (Maybe they can share the title...). I saw the music video for this the first time yesterday, a nice throwback to the "Happy Days" Sock-Hop 50's and Modern Day "Skate-Key" 2K7. The dude looks like a young Ma$e if Mase was 20 pounds heavier...well at least he gives hope to the other chunky brothers out there that we can still get the ladies if we sing right...

"Everybody's Crazy" and "Everyday" by Mayaeni - Found this album on a blog, due said this chick's album is only available in Japan for some bizarre reason but she can sing her ass off...While I WON'T go that far, there were a couple of good tracks on it, especially "Everyday". She reminds me of that singer from back in the day, Res. I jus missed a show she did in New York (Well I was working anyway...) but she has highlights on her myspace page www.myspace.com/mayaenimusic check it out, it's good music.

"Beautiful Otherness" by Bent - Man, I can't BEGIN to explain how smooth this song is. What kills me is it's not by Moby, but it SHOULD be. Imma see if this is on blogmusik because I just can't put to words how I love this damn song. And it's NOT even recent! It came out 4 years ago!

"Red Season" by Star Castle - This may be a flashback to "The Who" era but this song's got catchy electric-piano chords (which remind me of something out of "Sonic the Hedgehog" or something...), similar to me getting into the Electric Light Orchestra, I'm tracking down more and more by this group.

And as usual, I'm jus getting started with this stuff, I got albums I haven't even listened to yet that I downloaded awhile back.

I just got Common this weekend, Paul Cole has finally resurfaced, Macy Gray I've had for the longest and haven't sat down to listen to, Velvet Revolver (I LOVE SLASH!), KimmyK's been going on about Elliott Yamin who's also been kicking ass on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown, I wanna look him up...I haven't given up on Rap, I jus got Pharohe Monch's latest, along with Canibus and Cilvaringz.

Well, that's about it, wish I had some other stuff to talk about, but as usual my life sucks at the moment.

Stay Frosty!

"Kumar to play one of House's new Bi-Atches and Tom goes German!"

I jus saw "Epic Movie" last weekend, and even though I didn't get many of the "Narnia" gags, it turned out to be a decent spoof film (Nowhere NEAR "Scary Movie", but better than "Date Movie"). Kai Penn stood out the best and even though I didn't see "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" (Hmmmm, maybe I should rent that next...) I remember him in the beginning of last season's "24" (Which I only looked at to see DS9's Dr. Bashir again...)

Anyhoo...

Turns out, Kai (That's such a cool name...) jus signed on to play one of the FOUR new Underlings of Hugh "I'm the frickin' man, Better than Jackman or Grant!" Laurie aka HOUSE!

So the man with The Brain and The Cane trades a trio for a foursome including 2 Hottie-Hot-Hotties (Olivia Wilde and Anne Dudek) and a familiar face that's been popping up TV Shows everywhere! (Peter Jacobson), look 'em up on Imdb.com if you don't know 'em.

In other TV news, Denny Crane and Emmy Nominated Alan Shore (William Shatner and James Spader) will be welcoming some kooky heavy hitters to the already loony law firm that is Crane, Poole and Schmidt...he's no newbie to the "Court" because he worked there at "Night"...that's right! John Laroquette aka Dan "Cop-a-Feel" Fielding is returning to TV. That oughta put some juice back in the series...

Meanwhile in Hollywood...

Tom Cruse proves that his ego is big enough to win over one of history's earliest megalomaniacs, the Germans! As they bend to his wishes to film his latest project in the country for the authentic touch. His movie "Valkyrie" is directed by Bryan Singer (Who despite being gay and Jewish has thing THING for Nazis) is about the 1944 plot to Assassinate Adolf Hitler.

Dude almost looks like Nick Fury from the comic books or Fearless Leader from "Rocky & Bullwinkle"!

The Tuesday Fall Line-up is looking good...good thing I have it off from work!

Peace!

"So what DID happen??"

Some said it was like a Volcanic Eruption.

Others believe it REALLY was a Terrorist Act there's a big cover-up so we can keep out valued record from being tarnished.

"No acts of Terrorism in the US since 9/11"...Oh yeah?

Most believe it was jus plain ol' negligence on behalf of good ol' Con-Ed!

Whatever it was, Pictures don't lie...

As you can see, A tall pillar of white smoke just shot up in the sky! Then came the rain of concrete and rubble...anyone who just happened to be nearby...

And once the smoke cleared, the damage as a result was stunning...

A huge gaping hole in the middle of the street BIG ENOUGH to nearly swallow a tow-truck!

We got hit, HARD.

BUT

Based on what I saw yesterday evening...things seem a bit better under control.

We're finally learning.

The area was secured and things were about moving everyone AROUND the area VERY quickly, keeping them away and safe.

There were no delays or miscommunications, or running around with our heads cut off for us THIS time around...

One can't help the notice the timing of the incident, 6pm, the middle of the evening rush hour. Grand Central is ideal spot to cause a disruption that would affect a lot of people. Tourist, businesses, etc...

Did you ever see that movie "Bad Company" with Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins?

Weeks before, around the 4th of July there had been rumors something may go down involving the subways...we've been on alert since.

but in a way, something like this seems a bit small to be thought out and planned.

This is NOT the first time a steam pipe has blown in the city.

I don't remember, but in 1989 the same thing happened further south, but still on the east side at 20th street and Gramercy Park.

If by some miracle...the injuries were moderate.

There's been only 1 fatality at the moment, a woman who suffered a Heart Attack while running away from the scene. What is SO spooky is that she worked for Pfizer (one of our biggest scanning clients) and her office was RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from us!

The other serious victim was the driver of the Tow Truck sunken in the crater...a 23 year old college student who was scorched by the steam at full blast and now has burn over 80% of his body.

It must have been a terrible experience to be there and I still can't believe how close I was to it! Any other time, I could have been me walking along those streets! That could have been ME!!!

At the end of the day thou, this last picture captures the True New Yorker spirit..

It's that love we have for one another that brings one to hug another jus because they still standing...that they survived the whole ordeal.

This shows that no matter what's thrown at us...we'll still be here and tomorrow will be just another day in the city that never sleeps.

"Teetering on the Edge of Disaster!"

I have the most damnedest luck.

It started with pouring rain, then there was THE BIG BANG, and finally the voyage home through the Aftermath.

Talk about being RIGHT WHERE THE ACTION IS!!!!

Yesterday morning as I slept, I dreamed I was in the middle of a downpour. The rain was hitting the pavement so hard it sounded like glass shards. I open an eye to see it's REALLY raining HARD outside for REAL! Wind was blowing the rain INSIDE, making puddles on my windowsill.

I got up to close all the windows in the apartment because mom had left already then went back to sleep thinking this was the worst that could happen today...

But I was wrong.

I'm drowsy and groggy when I wake up at noon, but a quick shower and cheerios wakes me up and I'm out the door by 2:45pm.

Crosstown traffic barely had me getting to work ontime, I need to start leaving at 2:30...

We've been having SUCH a dry spell at work the last few weeks so I was actually shocked when I saw 36 boxes deposited in the center of our floor. Today was the first time in a long time we'd work a full night.

But then, something happened.

I was the only one to notice it too, but at around 6pm, or a lil after...there were 2 quick moments in time...

...Where the lights flickered...

Just for like a half-a-second!...TWICE!

"Didja you see that?" I said to everyone...

No one noticed.

At first I thought we were jus maxing the electricity with the AC...

but I was wrong.

At around 7pm, people started buzzing and cell phones calls from frantic family members hit everyone. Then The Chief made the announcement...

"There was an explosion involving a steam pipe and possible electrical generator over at Grand Central 42nd street. It was not a Terrorist Attack, the entire area has been partially or completely sealed off to people, cars, buses, and trains."

Now, we're a few blocks away...

I didn't hear no *BOOM*, but I noticed when those lights flickered!

We continued our work and went on break at 8pm.

When I got outside...*WHOO*!!!

The first (and only) thing I could hear were the news copters.

They were buzzing the sky above us at a close height that scared the hell outta me!

It felt like I was in Saigon...or Compton (2 places I never actually been...)

Police cars were everwhere, occasionally I saw unmarked cars with flashing lights drive the opposite way of the one-way street in front of us...

We're between 2nd and 3rd, so I walked downhill up to 3rd and turn to towards 42nd in front of us...

CHAOS

Yellow police Tape sealing everything off, fire trucks, paramedics and con-ed all converging and making a perimeter. I looked ahead in front of me crosstown towards Lexington, Madison, and 5th...the tape was there too. Behind us, uptown towards 46th the street was cut off and traffic was being diverted but there was no tape, jus a line of news vehicles, all the major networks, FOX, CBS, NBC...

People were calm, thank goodness, but constantly walking, trying to figure out a way home or to work or just OUT of what was dubbed the "Frozen Area" by news reports. Some were even taking camera-phone pics of the area!

I really couldn't see any damage or smoke anywhere and I was barely able to hear myself think with the propellers buzzing in my ears. I finally looked up and counted 3 copters (NONE Police choppers ironically!) hovering over us only a mere few miles apart from one another (I actually feared a mid-air collision was possible!).

I was strapped for cash so I brown-bagged lunch today, all I needed was a soda so I went to a deli, got change and then called mom to tell her I was OK out here.

Damn, this felt like 9/11 all over again...

She had just gotten home herself after going to a doctors appt. after work. All the networks preempted regular TV to report what was going on. I asked her for details but all she knew was it was some kind of steam explosion. People on the street nearby had been hurt, manhole covers flew to the sky, she said there's a BIG hole in the street!

Whoa.

And we're right here, on the brim of the insanity.

"How are you gonna get home?" she asked me.

I jus said "I don't know."

I finished the call and found a bench nearby to eat.

Like I said, there was no panic in the faces of people I saw walking by, we were cool. I saw a group of bellhops and hotel maids and workers moving in a group somewhere...

"They probably had to evacuate the nearby hotels..." I thought.

I finished my lunch and went back inside at 9pm. All the supervisors were going online checking with the MTA. Grand Central Station was being bypassed by every train possible. The 4,5,and 6 lines were stopping at 86th Street, no other trains on the east side were working from 86th All the way down to City Hall. Anyone that was going to Brooklyn, Queens or up to the Bronx was screwed.

The Streets were blocked off from 40th Street to 43 between 3rd Avenue and Madison. There was no way to take my crosstown M42 or M104 buses to 6th Avenue to catch my bus home...I was going to have to walk...and FAST!

We kept cool and worked the rest of the evening...Midnight came and we clocked out.

Outside, 42nd was still taped off, and the damn MetLife building was right smack in front of me. The only thing to do was walk UPtown a bit.

Time was against me, it was a lil after 12 and my bus would be coming up 6th avenue around 12:20am.

I walked up to 45th and looked crosstown, there were still police blocking the way...so I then walked up another to 46th and the the coast looked clear...but DARK.

Cutting across these isolated streets of midtown was no joke.

I walked fast and didn't stray my eyes anywhere.

People always like to take advantage of a catastrophe to Act a Fool and start somethin'!

I couldn't believe how long these blocks were! I past the Helmsley Hotel and took a moment to think about the "Queen of Mean" then kept going.

It nearly killed me, but I made the walk to 6th by 12:17am...5 minutes later, my bus came and I was cool...

I couldn't help thinking of that long hike I took from Wall Street to Columbus Circle back on 9/11...How fortunate I am to be near these crazy moments and still make it home in one piece.

I wondered how things would be tomorrow...and couldn't believe the timing of it all...

Something like this happening the moment work started building up again.

As if you haven't heard by the time you've read this you can read about the story here.

This shit is WILD!

"The Dull Flame of Desire"

In the spirit of the occasion of the good news...(BJORK at MSG)

This has over taken "Earth Intruders" and "Wonderlust" as my favorite new track from "Vorta".

Something slow and haunting about this duet...

It reminds me of what it would be like to see IRENE for the first time all over again.

Slowly raising my gaze and lock eyes for just a moment...

Listen to lyrics if you can...it's very beautiful.

"BJORK RETURNS!!!"

She's coming back! To Madison Square Garden! On a MONDAY!...YAY!!!!!

Presale is tomorrow...I AM SO THERE!!!!!

Labels:

"I think I still got something left in the Basement..."

I've been thinking...and thinking...and I'm goin' to need to think some more...

Friday I checked out this college I'm thinking of going to...

My appointment was for 10:15am, I was gonna be taken on a tour of the place, see the classrooms and all that...

But there were problems on the train and I arrived late.

When I got there, the receptionist recognized me from my first initial visit.

"Hi, I remember you, you took the tour last time, right?"

"Um, er...Yeah." I replied.

So I then met up with an Admissions Counselor who proceeded to give me the rundown about the curriculum.

The challenge was there...16 Months for An Associates. Classes from 9am-3pm like I mentioned before, and it was gonna be a pretty penny...

The counselor really pitched it all good. Lots of charts, statistics and comparisons . Classes are small (average of 15 students), graduates have lifetime job placement, the school has ties to big companies, starting salaries of graduates are astronomical by my standards.

I'd graduate by December 2008

2008.

Just like that...

Could it be possible?

6 hours a day
5 Days a week
64 weeks
31 Classes

CAN I DO IT?

There's a lil glimmer in my eye...something deep down.

Inspirational music is slowly playing in my head and getting louder.

The man who'd said he could never go back...is now thinking.

...and thinking.

September-January
January-April
April-August
August-December...

Business Math I
Business Communications I & II
Keyboarding I & II

But then you hear about the other classes

Web Development
Electronic Spreadsheets
Database Concepts
Web Authoring Tools
PC Hardware & Diagnostics
Visual Basic Programming

Implementing & Administering SQL Servers
JAVA
Computer Applications-UNIX

and suddenly, things get...very exciting!

Can I really rattle my brain like this at the age of 31, juggling work and school.

Going to bed around 1 or 2am, getting up at 7:45am, dealing with the trains that early...the damn kids, then after taking up to 5 classes go on to work till midnight. Doing homework on the bus going home...

and about this damn job?!!?

Yeah, things are slow now, and I DO have Mondays and Tuesdays off to dedicate to school...

Can this really work?

Well, after the presentation, I was given some paperwork so I can start the process...They'll request my school records and see if I'm worthy to be accepted.

I'm a bit unsettled that I'm trying to get in without really seeing the school.

I was tired anyway, goin all around would have killed me...

I gotta do some more thinking....

peace!

"300 meets Quake"

My video game store jus got the official DVD of "300" 3 weeks in advance of it's release date...I DID want to see it when it came out early this year, but missed due to the job fluctuations at the time...

Should I actually buy it now? Or wait...it seems to be an outstanding, yet depressing movie...

I'd be the envy of everyone at work...

I found this clip, and even though I don't play Quake, I found it funny...

"Jammin' with Napster...NOT!"

KimmyK brought this up with a comment awhile back, figured I shine some light and corrupt some minds (heh, heh, heh, heh!)

Napster, Napster, Napster...You Clever lil bastard you...

You were so cool when for first showed up...giving The Finger to the Music Industry and promoting the distribution of music among peers without the capitalist pigs and their corporations raping starving artists for money...

But then the government stepped in and shut you down...

Then someone else stepped in, took the copyright, the logo and the trademark and turned you into the very thing you sought to destroy, a lapdog for Satan.

So now you been reformed, a new man, sorta speak, unplugged from the system ala Agent Smith in Matrix Reloaded....wandering around making copies of yourself trying to take over while looking for that one simple thing...PURPOSE.

Okay, maybe I'm getting carried away here...

Inna Nutshell...Napster is iTunes, it's Y! Music, AudioGalaxy's Rhapsody, it's all those annoying Music Downloading subscriptions that lets you Cherry Pick songs for so-called pennies per track and let them get burned on a custom CD, yadda, yadda, yadda...

BUT there ARE a few catches.

First, the library is LIMITED! YEAH we got ALL the LATEST CRAP, but ANY that came out before 2002, heh, heh, You're screwed.

To be fair, They DID have a lotta Ol' Skool stuff from the 80's Stuff I couldn't find ANYwhere or didn't know still existed!...but there's so much MORE that should be here and isn't!

Why can't I find the 12MC's Remix to "Whoa"?

Why can't I find "Addams Family" soundtrack with that funny song MC Hammer did?

Why can't I find "Typical Reasons (Swing my Way)" by that white guy from the Fat Boys when he went solo?

Why can't I find "Dedicated" by R.Kelly back when he was with Public Announcement?

"Humpin' Around", "Girlfriend", "On our Own" from Ghostbusters 2...WHY can't I find these Bobby Brown songs???

It's jus certain songs, man...that when you think of them, you want them...and they ain't there.

Maybe iTunes has a broader library, then again...maybe not.

Twist #2 The ol' Bait and Switch!

Whoo, Modern Technology these days, they really know how to sell the illusion...

Freakin' Criss Angel got nothing on Napster!

Okay, With the basic subscription (which I purchased via Gift Card rather then letting these psychos have my credit card info!) You have the choice of downloading all the songs you want on up to 3 PC's at once (In case you go to a friends house and you wanna have access to your account there, you can...it's actually kinda cool...) You download the songs in WMA format and play then using your Windows Media Player (Gotta have versions 7 and up or no dice...VERY important, tell ya later...)

So you got these files on YOUR PC, right? taking up disk space on YOUR hard drive, right? You can listen to them on ANY program that plays WMA's Nero, WinAMP, etc, etc...

BUT...try to burn these files on a CD OUTSIDE of the Napster program (Cuz the software lets you make your CD, too, you don't need to use Media Player or any other burner, yadda, yadda, yadda...) and suddenly...BAM! you hit a wall!

These WMA files are ENCRYPTED, they cannot be burned or transferred on ANY portable device until you get the "Burn Rights"

What are Burn Rights? Burn Rights are the encryption codes that allow a song to be compressed into various formats like CDA (for CD's) and also allow to be copied.

They were implemented With Windows Media Player Version 7 and the introduction of DRM, which stands for Digital Rights Management.

That's the illusion...it's yours, but it's NOT yours.

If you want to burn it on a CD or put it on your iPod or MP3 play...You gotta buy the Rights...so that's where the .99 cents comes to play.

The price to buy a track is different from the subscription service, which is why they also have Gift Cards worth 15 Downloads, etc, etc...

So they get ya with the subscription, and then get ya with the tracks...BUT fear not!, they're not THAT cold-hearted as to make you do both...YOU HAVE A CHOICE...

You can jus join and download, paying song per song with no subscription fee...or you can subscribe and LISTEN to all you want without being able to take it with you...

OR CAN YOU? (Hee, hee, hee...)

Time for a lil Seeeecret!...Shhhhhh....

C'mere lemme tell ya something...

Apparently, this new system of things didn't fare to well across the pond, and some hackers from Jolly ol' England found a way to bite Napster, iTunes and Rhapsody all in the ASS!

It's called Tunebite and brother, I tell ya...It's da SHIT!

Tunebite takes all those encrypted WMA music files and *poof*...makes them YOUR files...to do whatever you want!

It even works with AudioBooks from the library! You know those files that erase themselves after the due date!

And Tunebite doesn't stop at audio...it can even copy streamed video files that you "Rent" online!

It's so nice to see for every failsafe out there...there's something somewhere eventually made to beat it!

SO now, the music I download, is MINE! I jus need to find more!

Hmmm, maybe I SHOULD join iTunes and see what they have over there....

(Sinister Laughter)

"I'm no Superman..."

I dunno WHY but "Scrubs" is growing on me like poison ivy!

Maybe because I only see it in syndication on cable and regular network tv during off hours.

I've come to notice that it possibly was the inspiration for "Gray's Anatomy", jus without the slapstick comedy.

Jus a few observations (you had to see that coming, right?...something NEW to gripe about...)

* He may be funny in a weird sorta way with his comedic timing and physical stuff, BUT I STILL hate Zack Braff! Something about that NAME, geez! I'm the same way about Ellen DeGeneres (I jus call her "Ellen"...I hate her last name...)

* Still hating on Zack...What is UP with his HAIR? In the early episodes (season 1?) it looks normal, THEN it jus mutated into this THING that had layers and looked like a pineapple! It's freaking disgusting...put the mousse DOWN!

* also on the topic of freaky disgusting things...Donald "Turk" Faison's Lip Mole! Thank GOD he eventually grew a mustache, but occasionally an episode pops up and it..."Moley, moley, Guacamole!"

* The two chicks are HOT! I love it when the blond flashes everyone...

* Not for nothing, if I'd been called so many different names other than my own, I'd shoot up the hospital after a year...I mean Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) calls J.D. a different chick name, Carla calls him "Bambi", I mean, WTF?

* Dr. Cox is the fuckin' MAN! Not for nuthin' I honestly think he would kick House's ASS! The two of them need to have a Showdown!

* I think The Janitor would be SO much better if he was played by Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld's "Puddy"), Neil Flynn reminds me of a wannabe...

* I gotta bring it up again, the narration, the music montages, and the End of Episode Observations...It's jus like freakin' "Grey's Anatomy"...Damn!

Anyway...I though I'd mention it a bit, what the hell...I hear the show's on it's last leg at NBC...I wonder how it will all end....

"Outta the Country...and into more Country..."

Hey, guess what?

Psycho-Lesbo-Sis is MOVING!

If that ain't a kick to the 3 balls that I have I don't know what is.

She found a small 2 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment further north from where she is already is remote in the Bronx near Bruckner. The building is apparently one of those newly built city projects so it has no reputation for being dysfunctional (YET!), Section-8's share is a friggin' grand leaving her to pay the difference...a measly 250.00 a month (And watch her STILL have trouble paying THAT!)

Well, isn't the lil' ghetto princess Da' Shit, now?

At least Baby Girl won't be hoofin' it up four flights of steps anymore...that wasn't good for her asthma.

Daffy Duck said it best, ya'll...

"I'm NOT jealous, mind you...But it's JUST THE INJUSTICE of it ALL!"

She moves in August first, so along with a birthday party for Baby Girl she'll also be throwing a House Warming...oh, goody, goody for her...

I can't believe how the world bends and yields to a 26 year old with a 8th grade education just because she's drop dead gorgeous and has a kid.

A single mother getting by on the system with no intentions to improve herself as she gets older in life.

But what do I care? I'm doing fine, right?

No relationships, no friends, jus working and roaming the city alone, going to movies at 2:20am, living paycheck to paycheck, joined at the hip of my mother who lives to drive me crazy...

And she has the nerve to call ME the favorite...

Anyhoo...enough with the Haterade commercial...A nice shinny quarter goes to the lucky person who guesses the song I got this post's title from!

(That VH1 World Series of Pop Culture has been getting to me!)

PeaCE!

"Cloverfield:The mystery of 1-18-08..."

It's been 10 days since the mysterious trailer placed directly in front of advanced premieres of "Transformers" left everyone scratching their heads and making their calender for January 18th, 2008.

See what it's all about, including the trailer (Rumor has it YouTube.com pulled it after Paramount threatened to sue their asses...) with the website below and draw your own conclusions...

http://www.filmthreat.com/index.php?section=features&Id=1990

Is it MOTHRA?

Is it GODZILLA again?

Is it Black Smoke from LOST?

One thing we know...what ever it is...It's Coming.

"Transformers:Thoughts"

2007's Biggest Summer Blockbuster has finally arrived and led up to all the hype!

HOWever!...the movie is not without a few kinks, dings, or all out DENTS in the opinion of THIS hardcore fan.

If you haven't seen the movie by now you either have no kids of your own or were never into the cartoon when you were a kid yourself so this post will not make too much sense...

But me being the LIBRA that I am, I'm gonna break things down from both sides and see if anyone agrees

So, without further adieu, here's my view of what went RIGHT and WRONG with TRANSFORMERS!

NUMBER ONE:Optimus Prime's beginning narration.

From the second you hear it, you wanna cheer as if Michael Jordan jus made the game winning 3-pointer at the buzzer. Some actually did at my second viewing! The first 5 minutes alone sets the stage and explains the entire plot so it's so simple even a Film Critic (the closest thing to resemble the numbing sub-intelligence of an ape) can understand it.

Second:Starting the party with a BANG!

Michael Bay has a track record for explosive beginnings, so it was no surprise moments after we were introduced to United States's bravest heroes that SHIT STARTED BLOWING UP! Blackout's (The Helicopter) attack on the base was CRAZY! From that glass-shattering sonic boom till the flash at the end where you thought he took out EVERYone Predator-style (How those soldiers survived is still a mystery to me! At first I was like "Well, Tyrese's part was MAD short!...LOL!")

Next, THE CAST (Human Cast...)

Shia LaBeouf (Yeah, I finally looked up his name...) did this role justice. Lotta fans were angry and confused that his name was "SAM" rather than "SPIKE" in the movie but that WAS his original name, spike was only a nickname, just like his father was know as "SPARKPLUG", back in the day everyone tripped, because even in the comic book, Spike/Sam was also known as Buster, but then later on they introduced Spike and he became a headmaster, yadda, yadda, yadda...it's a confusing process like the Two Becky's in "Roseanne"...ANYhoo...Sam Witwicky came off like a geek at first, doing everything he could to get that FIRST CAR only to grow-up overnight as humanity's last savior. He took it in stride and humor ("I brought a car and it turned out to be an alien, who knew?"...classic line) all while drooling over the girl of his dreams and dealing with geekiest parents this side of "Leave it to Beaver". This kid's got the Tom Cruise Mojo thing working for him and every part he seems to get turns to gold somehow...no wonder he's taken on the role of a lifetime as the SON of Indiana Jones, look for him next summer to steal the spotlight once again...

Megan Fox...Talk about Eye-yi-yi-yi-YI! Candy! Where did they find this vixen?!?...I heard this is her second movie after being in one of Linsey Lohan's recycled, disney-channel-churned, pieces of crap. Fox is a FOX with killer abs and a tough-guy/tomboy-yet-sensitive side that made her MORE than the typical action-movie cardboard cutout that was easy on the eyes but had few lines.

Tyrese and Josh Duhamel...Can't be an Alien Movie without the army now can it? In all honesty, I think Tyrese got this role because LL Cool J was busy...BUT it could have been his portrayal in "Annapolis" that got it, could be, could be...They were cool in the movie thou, gave the film realism and that "Heart" or "Spirit" every action movie needs...Josh wanting to go home and see his kid...Tyrese taunting the machines...and I think his line's growing into the Summer's new catch-phrase..."Bring the Rain". On a technical viewpoint, it was cool showing how soldiers mark Bombing targets on the ground using laser sights, that whole process was very insightful.

Supportive Cast...The British cryptographer, Jon Voight, Anthony Anderson were all cool..I have to say, thou...John Turturro is morphing into Al Pacino. Al is getting older nowadays, so as HE gets older, Turturro starts resembling a younger/middle aged Pacino and it's freaking SCARY! Turturro also gets points for his role in this movie, as small as it was, His government conspiracy agent character stands out among the rest of the military brass.

The ROBOTS...wow, I never thought CGI would get THIS good...naturally everyone had to look up and use their imaginations when filming, the interactions between humans and robots...never looked so real. Seeing SAM getting grabbed in midair by an Autobot like a baseball player fielding a pop fly...Michael Bay makes you wonder if there REALLY are a few 20ft robot extras hidden away in storage. Even seeing something minor like Megatron FLICKING away a person like an ant displaying his disgust and contempt for humans you can't help to think back to the classics like "Jurassic Park" when all that Dinosaur stuff was just the tip of the iceberg...the steps we have advanced to in cinematic technology...magnificent!

Okay, okay, enough the praise! If to ERR if Human, then Robots these guys ain't! Here's how the movie went off the mark a lil...

#1:The Humor.

Every action movie DOES have light moments to break the tension, but I think I speak for EVERYONE who saw the movie when I say we DID NOT need a PSA about how to deal with Teenage Masturbation!...Both reactions from The Father (Kevin Dunn) and Sam are priceless, and I guess it was funny because it came outta left field the first time, but OH GOD, the 2nd time I saw it, I could just count the seconds. THE whole segment of the Autobots at the SAM's house was silly, big ass robots trying to hide outside the house and not being seen...Even hearing Optimus saying "My Bad" all awkward was more torture than getting a tooth pulled. THEN there was "FRENZY" (The Radio...not be confused with SOUNDWAVE, I hear they're bring him in for Part 2), I read somewhere that even thou no one thought it was possible, Michael Bay created a CGI character more annoying than Jar Jar Binks, this might be true. A vicious as he was, he was also goofy...the most annoying scene in the whole entire movie is when he is sneaking out of Air Force One and TIPTOES past the police while trying to hide his face...sure, it probably got some laughs, but come on! And then his VOICE! He sounded like an angry old man speaking Cantonese, an evil messed up version of R2-D2's Bleeps and Bloops. In the spirit of spreading the blame, Josh Duhamel trying to call the Pentagon in the middle of a gunfight, needing a credit card (Left Cheek!, Left Cheek!), and rejecting offers from a smart-ass operator for service packages was too crazy to believe...The only humor that was welcomed was Anthony Anderson's small bit as a super-hacker. Seeing his cousin break though a glass screen door as the FBI came in and raided the place was hysterical (Hell, I'd do the same thing! Who has time to find the damn handle when you got mere seconds to react!) and his bit about the interrogation tactics and breaking down babbling about downloading music, that had me in stitches. The little "Tooth Fairy" girl and the guy filming the Autobots arriving ("This is 10 times better than "Armageddon"!") were also comedic gems.

Basically, it was a game of hit and miss with jokes, they jus didn't have to overdo it.

The Autobots learning the english language through the internet was a bit of a stretch...

Optimus's simple answer:"eBay" almost made me think of Product Placement!

This movie has a bit too many dated cultural references that will place it in the early 2000's if some were taken out the movie could have been revered as a timeless gem to be respected for years to come. (Like 20 years from now eBay will still exist!)

OKAY, Number TWO...the swipes at Comic Book Movies.

There were a lot of sight gags, and lines addressing the abundance of Comic-Book Superhero Movies...Haternation aside I thought they were a bit goofy and excessive...

*John Tuturro's Super, er Ahem SECTOR 7 undershirt.

*Tyrese and Anthony Anderson's Freddy/Wolverine Wall Slashes remark.

*The fact that Megatron's Captivity by the government was codenamed "ICEMAN"

*Tuturro's name (Simmons) and the fact he works for a secret Government Agency (Can you say SPAWN?)

I'm sure there's more, I jus can't remember them...Maybe even SAM'S friend climbing that tree and hanging upside down could be a Spider-Man joke (Sam says "You're so lame, so lame! Why would you do that!?")

And finally, I think the last and main gripe of the movie was the final fight between Prime and Megatron...it was too quick and they cut to the other battles and chases. Megatron alone had about 20 minutes screen time after he got thawed out. Don't get me wrong, the fight was good, but it could have been better...

In the end thou, the movie did it's fans proud. It's up there with the first "Mortal Kombat" when it comes to Movie Adaptions. I realize it was no small task to appease everyone but they did it. Time will only tell if the movie gets the Props it DAMN well deserves.

"...Part 2"

2:30am again so my rambling continues...

where the hell was I?...

Pandora, Amy Winehouse...Transformers verses Harry Potter....

Oh, ya!...The JOB.

Damn, man...friggin work's been DEAD...D-E-D, DEAD!

I had an extra 3-day like holiday and after the 4th Thursday, we barely had enough work to keep us busy till midnight! Then Friday we worked till 9 for a quick five hours!

The weekend before, things went light and we sat around and didn't do squat to get our mandatory 4 hour work day...we were play SPADES in the damn break room, WTF!!!

Hey, I don't mind sitting on my ass doing nothing and still getting paid, but damn...this is JUST like the other place I worked for in The Village back in 98 near the end...business went so dry, I walked in wondering if I was going to even stay the night!

Still I hung in there till they told me "Don't come back, anymore" then moved on to Chase in '99...damn, is that gonna happen here, too? What am I some sorta jinx? Everywhere I go business goes down, there's a merger or something!

Last weekend, we played SPADES (Which I know how to play, but really not that good at...) THIS weekend, I came prepared! I brought Baby Girl's UNO cards!

That's right, baby...UNO! the REAL party card game! Screw Texas Hold 'em and all that shit!

So, we start the play, and I come off the bat and ask about the rules...because if you know UNO...THERE are dozens of variations of RULES!

They introduced me to this new technique I've never heard of call "STACKING"...it's such bullshit! If you have the same number as the card delt, but with different colors, you can STACK(!) and throw them ALL down at once!

WHAT the HELL is that!?!?!?

So what if I was delt seven 3's?...

Man, whoever made up stacking was someone who kept losing at UNO!

Then they had this crazy ass rule that the "WILD" card could pass the Pick-up count (Draw-2, Draw-4, etc, etc...) to the NEXT person...WHAT THE HELL?!??!

I'd play UNO in Junior, regular High School, and even at the Library (They'll even be playing it on my TV SHOW!...I will BRING the popularity of UNO BACK!) and I have NEVER heard of these crazy ass rules!!!

Speaking of the TV SHOW...KimmyK mentioned this weekend (Yay, she's BACK!) and I feel I should get back on the writer's desk again, I've strayed away long enough...sometimes when you can't think of anything to write, you step back...but the you go BACK into the fray...

Despite getting no reactions on the SimplyScripts website where I posted the PILOT, I plan to post Episode 2 and maybe 3 on there and maybe enter the Pilot in another screenwriting contest...it's so hard to find ones for TV, thou...everyone wants friggin movie scripts these days...

"Transfomers" made 157 million in seven days to set a record, best 7 day opening box-office for a non-sequel...jus imagine then how much part 2 will make in 2009! Studios reported that the movie did well due it's fan-base (Of course), but also because it was well received by Mothers who took their children along...I guess it's light-hearted humor (which was torture to hardcore fans) hit the spot with the regular moviegoer...In hopes that everyone's seen it by now, I'll do a post with my reflections on it later on this week. (for the record, I've seen it 3 times now, I haven't been so insane about a movie to see it repeatedly since "X-Men 2"...I love Nightcrawler!)

I saw "Alpha Dog" this weekend on DVD...that movie was DEEP! Diss him all you want, Timberlake represented...this movie was one messed up story of psycho white teens acting more ghetto than 50-Cent will EVER be, and to top it off, it's a True Story.

I also saw "Norbit" this weekend, and If Eddie Murphy makes one more movie insulting Fat People, Imma put a bounty on his head as if I was Jabba the Hut!

I wanna take a note now to address something...Making blogs Private. There was a new blog I discovered through someone else that I liked and now it's becoming private only allowing readers known to the author.

I find that VERY hypocritical (Boarderlining on STUPID!, but I don't wanna get ugly up in here...), I find blogging as a medium of expressing thoughts, opinions, observations or just sharing and exposing your life to others. It should be flattering if someone is to stumble upon your collective works by chance, but they can't do that if you put a fence up!

It defeats the purpose...now, okay...I could possibly see if you were sharing too much information and there were possible stalker issues to think about, but thats where you take advantage of the anonymity that is the internet! For anyone to blab their business in the open forum and then say..."I don't want certain people hearing this" is dumb! Keep your secrets and don't start a blog in the first place! I'm even sorry I found your little pocket universe now...I won't miss it!

I've think I've rambled on enough now...it's goin on 3:30, I'm hot and tired...

I'm going to crack open a box of DIBS...

Peace!!!

"One to Remember..."

All you Oscar heads, take note...

"Gone, Baby Gone"

This will be the "Departed" of 2007

Only Scorsese didn't direct it...

Ben Affleck did.

Yep, try not to freak out, the movie sells itself even if a monkey would have directed it.

Anyone who's read the Dennis Lehane (AKF Mystic River) novel KNOWS this is going to be GOOOOOD.

Benny's had the rights to the movie for the longest and has been trying pen the script and produce the damn thing...he takes up on Directing it AND casts his brother of all things for the lead role.

I finally saw the trailer on Yahoo, and I tell ya...

It's got "Oscar" written all over it.

Yeah, we have the explosive blockbusters and sequels, but every nowandthen, you root for the below the radar sleeper classic-in-the-making.

Do yourself a favor, start reading the book, now...

Be warned, thou...the subject ain't for the meek...and the ending...WOAH.

You heard it hear first.

"Blah, Blah, Blah....Random Crap..."

It's 3:45am for I'm jus cracking my head open and letting my thoughts out for a spell...

First and foremost, I MISS KimmyK...I can understand taking a break, but damn, are you still alive? (Well, of course you are, you comment on a post every now and then...)

The Pandora Radio site ROCK! I know I mentioned it before but I just got back to listening again and it's introduced me to so much new out there music...

Sounds from the Ground, Bent, Star Castle...once again I find myself back-tracking albums based on just one song I've heard!

In light of this new music awakening, I have OFFICIALLY joined Napster, but rather than let those bastards access my credit card info, I have signed up via gift card and may or may not continue to do so every 3 months...

Despite joining Napster, I'm still getting new music through Torrents and other means...I finally heard Amy Winehouse CD "Back in Black", that chick has soul..."Rehab" and "Just no Good" only Scratch the Surface on how good that album IS!

As good as TRANSFORMERS was, I'm sure it'll make money this weekend, maybe even set a new Box Office record, I think Harry Potter will overtake it the next weekend, which sux because transfomers deserved to be #1 for at least 3 weeks...

The job has been ridiciously dead. there is minimal work coming through and its driving me nuts! I wanna find another job, but I don't wanna appear to be moving around too much...

TO BE CONTINUED...

"F*ck Scott Baio!, Jet Black will be 45 and Still Single!"

Well, it certainty was a dreary 4th of July this year! I don't I saw the sun at all yesterday.

I went to see "Transformers" again...("Tee Hee")...and I tell ya, it's better the 2nd time around!

Other than that, I basically chilled and cleaned up or rearranged my room.

MOM went down to macy's and brought me a new pillow...she keeps wondering how my so-called BIG head make even the fluffiest pillow flat as a pancake in mere months. (Lil' Miss Sarcasm!)

As for me and the room shifting, I'm digging out some more comics to try and sell, maybe even my precious Transformer comics...with the movie out they should be worth a butt-load of change now...

Another reason is to finally locate my damn High School Diploma in one of those boxes (I hope.)

I've been doing some research and I think I'm finally ready...

*GASP!*...

To TRY...

and go back to College!

BUT don't start cheering yet!, this idea is only in the early stages.

I've been doing a lot of "Soul Searching" on the net...and along with a better outlet to free music, I've been looking for an institution that I can see myself going to.

Something that's only gonna concentrate on a Computer Programming curriculum and no Accounting & Business crap like at Baruch.

I think I found one, and it's not too far from the job, either which is a plus...

As for the MUSIC...MOM's been on this Gospel kick since she'd seen one of those TimeLife Gospel collections advertised on TV. During the list of songs, one of the one's played is a favorite of hers by BeBe & CeCe Winans that we never knew the title of...So I had to play Indiana Jones and find that one magical song for her.

I eventually found the song and used nappster to download the track (Ugh, I feel so dirty!...using a mainstream music service to acquire a mp3!)

I've been using the Pandora Radio website to learn some new music, along with downloading new upcoming albums thru my regular means...

On the plus side, my findings brought me to this AWESOME private site loaded with music...BUT they only deal with some weird ass electronic currency that's hard to exchange regular money for...e-Gold. WTF is E-GOLD?!?!?

I feel like I'm money laundering for the mob or something...NObody hardly deals with this weird ass form of commerce.

I think it's a European thing or something if anyone's heard of EASY ways of transferring regular USD to E-gold WITHOUT bank wire transfers, or Western Union Money Orders...ah, forget it...I'll find a way on my own (Shit, if only everyone used PayPal, thing's would be easier!)

In other family new, Baby Girl left last friday to spend the Summer Vacation down in North Carolina with her father. I gave her one last chance to take her to see "Ratatouie" but she didn't want to go. She instead made me promise her to take her to see the "Bratz" movie when she comes back in August. (Geez!)

MOM finally booked her trip to Dayton, Ohio (Yet, again) for next week. She was going to fly, but her friend out there took too long to reply if it would be a convenient to visit so she settled for the 18 hour bus trip instead. God, I endured that once, I told myself, NEVER again would I go through that!

So, that's it...work's been pretty slow, and there's been a issue I've had with some punk who's calling seat arraignments on me (What are we in KINDERGARTEN!?!?!), but I'm hanging in there...

Things have been kinda lonesome, thou...I haven't heard from JOE in awhile, there's even a few online bloggers who have been taken a break for while I sorta miss (You know who you are...)

I got into a situation based on a previous post a long time ago (That has now, been erased...) and suddenly, I've been thinking of retiring from the personal accounts and transform the blog to exhibit my writings...rather than try to start a new one and manage TWO blogs (You know it didn't work in the past...) I'm thinking of starting over...keep my history intact, but just change the format.

I dunno...we'll see

I gotta go...probably see Transformers again over the weekend...

Peace!

"I saw it and it was GOOOOD!"

I'm home, and it's goin on 7am...just got in an hour ago.

First off, TRANSFORMERS KICKS ASS!!!!

BUT!!!!

There was an EVEN BETTER reason to see the movie...

This crazy, mysterious trailer for a movie Produced and Directed by "LOST" creator J.J. Abrams!

There is this big mystery to this movie, IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A NAME!?!?!?!?

All we know is it comes out January 18th, 2008

The trailer is unbelievable and has so much buzz it left the audience totally freaked out!

I would describe it, but I don't wanna spoil it, they've putting right of "Transformers" along with trailers for "The Simpsons Movie" ("Spider-Pig, Spider-Pig..." LOL, classic!), "Rush Hour 3", "Superbad", and "Hot Rod" (Which looks funny, but with no stars)

But that Abrams movie...whoo! There's not even any info on imdb.com!

After a bit of searching, all I got is a codename for the project:"Cloverleaf"

If you wanna read more check This Article but be warned the article describes what happens during the trailer, but you should see it for yourself...it jus blows you away...

This sorta hype reminds me of "The Blair Witch Project"...and if I know Abrams, I know he has something up his sleeve!

Hmmmm....

January 18th...could that also be the week LOST comes back for Season 4?

"THIS IS...IT!"

Well, tonight Michael Bay will have made my childhood dreams a reality or ravaged and rape them like a Duke Lacrosse Team.

"Transformers" will be released to the world for praise or ridicule this evening and I will partake the madness in my own special way...

I leave you with tidbits I've picked up from browsing the comic book adaption and checking various insider websites...

There will be a couple of snide remarks about mutants and super-heroes, Spike (The kid from Constantine who's name I barely remember or can spell...) Witwicky jokes about being cursed with the "Witwicky Mutant Gene" for boring or to some nature...

Spike will also mention the infamous Transformer tagline to his Desired Girlfriend telling her she's "More than meets the Eye"

Thou AUTOBOT fav. "Bumblebee" won't be played by a Yellow VW Bug, there will be one conveniently placed in the used car lot owned by Bernie Mac.

Rumors have it that "Bumblebee" also won't speak, but will sorta communicate by selecting certain songs from his car radio to fit the situation ("On the Road, again" while driving, etc, etc....)

Apparently, Decepticon leader Megatron was the very first Transformer to arrive on earth at the dawn of the 20th Century (1900's) he was damaged in the crash and held under wraps by the government expecting more to come...the first crew of bad guys looking for them stopped at Mars and destroyed the rover (Seen in the early trailers) to prevent earth from knowing that they we coming.

The Animosity between Megatron and his lieutenant, Starscream will be honored. #2 thinks he can do #1's job better so the player-hater flow remains.

As for voices, They got the original voice for Optimus Prime, Hugo Weaving (MISSSSTER ANNNNNDERRRRSON!!!) from the matrix to play Megatron and Keith David's cool voice is in the movie somewhere....

I think it's gonna be the best thing since, I don't even know!

If it's good, I WILL see it at least two more times!

I may do a post of the cultural impact TRANSFOMERS has made in our world today...everything from hip hop music to 9/11 there's references you may or may not know...

PEACE!

"The red carpet premiere!!!"

Stars of the movie and more talk about the film...

that dude from "Constantine" and this year's spring hit "Disturbia" is kinda cool, but needs to do interviews better...he's always doing the "Smartass" routine...

Hearing Peter Cullen in his "Optimus" voice at the end of the clip gave me goosebumps.
