Transport Workers Union Local 100 President Roger Toussaint is headed to jail for authorizing December's transit strike.

The MTA and the TWU faced off in a Brooklyn courtroom Monday to determine what penalties should be handed out to the union for authorizing the illegal three-day strike late last year. The MTA requested TWU leaders only get community service.

However, a judge sentenced Toussaint to 10 days behind bars and a $1,000 fine for criminal contempt his role in the job action.


Now I'm not the one to get into current events, but I gotta say SOMEthing on this...

This stupid prick is the one responsible for over 7 MILLION New Yorkers having 3 of the worst days around christmas they ever had last year. He single handedly brought this city to a grinding HALT! and held us hostage, prevented us from going work, fucked with our money! I didn't get any compensaion for those days I missed! And now, with all the warnings the mayor gave this guy, and all the judicial BS...he only gets TEN DAYS!?!?!?!?

They should be spent in solitary confindment, put his ass in da hole! Have his ass shanked the first lights out...let 'em stay for at least six months for what he did!
