Rental Movie Weekend Review...

SO, this turns out to be my ONLY highlight of the weekend after the Eagles lost (in the words of Davey Jones..."Life is Cruel")

Annnnnyhooooo....

Last year Luc "They still remember me for only "The Fifth Element" Besson produced a lil known low-budget female western starring the Latin Doublemint Twins Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz (Betcha can't tell which is which, by sight or by hearing their sexy accents!)

Salma is known for showing her buns in "Wild Wild West" and everything else in sexy romps like "From Dust till Dawn" and "Desperado" (FANTASTIC TITS!), Penelope had her 15 minutes of fame as the in-between girl for Tom Cruise who was married to Nicole and now married to Katie. She and Tom hooked up while doing "Vanilla Sky" and was rumored to be going out with Matthew "no tee-shurt wearing cowpoke" Matthew McConaughey when they did their movie "Sahara" together.

The movie starts in true "Prince and the Pauper" style as two mexican women from both ends of society become buxom buddies while avenging their fathers and stopping a greedy banker from stealing land from mexico for a railroad of sorts. The two decide to rob specific banks and ruin the land deal.

The movie stars Dwight "Country Singer/Bad-Ass Psycho from "Panic Room" Yoakam and Steve Zahn as an ahead of his time-CSI wannabe who gets caught in the middle of this sexy sandwich.

This movie starts slow, but has it's high and low notes (I honesty had to look at it twice because I fell asleep the first time I watched it...well with my crazy sleeping arrangement, it happens.), it's pure popcorn fun and has a "Disney Film" running time of 88 minutes so consider it a nice "quickie".

don't expect any nudity, but there is a classic moment when the ladies get skimpy to sneak their way past some bumbling guards...

So, in retrospect, use the free coupon from blockbuster for a nice treat, but don't pay more than that for it.

Now, if you excuse me, I have to drown my sorrows and wait for next year...

I saw the preview to that movie before. Looks blah blah, but Salma and Penelope make it all worth it. Might check it out sometime.
