"Lesbian Robots fondling Each Other..."

A while back when I found out Bjork was coming to NYC, KimmyK asked for a good listen of one of her songs that I think would make her hip to the scene...

Well, this was the closest one I could think of...

It's controversial video withstanding, "All is Full of Love" is one of those songs that HAUNTS your subconscious. You hear this song once, it stays in your head and it becomes your theme music. You walk to it, you work to it, the rhythm controls every movement in your body. The violins, the harp chords, the electronic thumping of the break-beat, top that with the her soft voice and the simple lyrics...

Product placement for this song can be used anywhere...that first scene when boy meets girl...a slow motion tragic death scene between lovers...hell, even a stripper can dance to this song, swinging around a pole...

It's not my all time favorite song (We'll get to that another post...) it's the first song I usually let someone hear that curious about her music.

WITH THAT SAID, let's talk about the video below. Yes, it IS a bit out there, BJORK has this message about "Loving yourself, before loving others..." so at times she expresses this in songs and videos. So, the two robots in question, are really representing one entity (That's why they have the same face, hers...) and Self-Love (NOT Self-Gratification, there's a difference!) is a positive message to get across, in my humble opinion...

So, enough chatter, here's the video and the lyrics below, oh and BTW, the video DID win MTV's 2000 Music Video Award for special effects and Breakthrough Video, not bad, eh?

You'll be given love
you'll be taken care of
you'll be given love
you have to trust it

Maybe not from the sources
you have poured yours

Maybe not from the directions
you are staring at

Trust your head around
it's all around you
all is full of love
all around you

All is full of love : you just ain't receiving
All is full of love : your phone is off the hook
All is full of love : your doors are all shut

All is full of love
